La Hacienda — Restaurant in Puno

Pasta carbonara tasted like it came straoght out of a package. It was very watery and didn't contain any bacon. Altough the pizzas are nicely baked in a wood-oven, all ingredients are kept at room temperature in a closet. Even the meats. This gave me as i recall a stomach ache. The pieces of meat on the pizza (pizza hacienda) didn't even had anymore taste in them. The doorguy tries to lure everyone in with a free pisco sour, which turned out to be a lie. Luckily we didn't went in for that. A second lie are all the stickers on the door with possible payment methods. Only cash is accepted. This dinner really was the worst experience...

This restaurant was ok, but there are definitely better ones in the area. I had the grilled trout platter, and the flavor/preparation was good, but it was a pretty small portion (which was fine because I wanted to eat light due to altitude sickness, but I would have left hungry otherwise, unless I got a starter.)

Although the food was not bad, the atmosphere wasn't very enjoyable... pretty drab, not much of a vibe at all. And the prices here were slightly higher than some of the other...

Fomos recebidos na porta do restaurante com a informação de que só aceitavam dinheiro em espécie e que não havia pizza naquele momento. Tudo bem, pois tínhamos dinheiro e não queríamos pizza. Ao consultar o cardápio, perguntei sobre o tamanho da porção de sopa e me responderam, de forma impaciente, que era de tamanho normal. Outro detalhe: a descrição da sopa estava em duas linhas, a primeira em espanhol, com os ingredientes, sem mencionar leite, e a segunda em inglês, onde constava entre aspas "milk and cheese". Como não falo bem inglês nem espanhol, entendi que a versão em inglês era uma opção adicional, algo que poderia ser pedido separadamente. Então, pedi a sopa de quinoa e ela veio com leite. Informei ao garçom que não consumia leite, e ele ficou muito nervoso, trazendo o cardápio de volta. Mostrei a ele a confusão, mas acabei devolvendo a sopa e comi uma truta com meu esposo, que estava muito gostosa. Ao final, pedimos a conta e eu ia pagar pela sopa, mas antes disso, o garçom apareceu com máquinas de cartão de crédito e débito para recepcionar turistas europeus. Para eles, havia a opção de pagar com cartão, algo que não nos foi oferecido em nenhum momento. Conclusão: para brasileiros, só dinheiro, mas para europeus, qualquer forma de pagamento. Portanto, conterrâneos, não recomendo este lugar. Talvez o problema seja nossa...
