Positive Rock 'n Reggae — Restaurant in Puno

Scam! They cheat tourists – do not go here! There’s a big sign saying “Happy Hour – 2 Pisco Sours for 20 soles.” We ordered exactly that, but when it was time to pay, they charged us 40 soles. When I pointed out the offer, the waiter rudely said that “the price is what’s on the menu” and that I should have told him before I wanted the happy hour deal. This is a clear scam – they use the promotion to trick tourists. Service was extremely slow and unfriendly – there were only two couples in the place (us and one other), and we still waited far too long. At the end, the waiter even asked for a tip, despite already overcharging us. Very dishonest, rude staff and a total rip-off. Don’t waste your money here – go...

A hip bar with a good vibe. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to satisfy the customer’s wishes. For example, my friends and I really wanted sweet potato fries. The bar didn’t have any, so one of the staff members went out to buy sweet potatoes and in no time we were served sweet potato fries!

Furthermore, a few customers were American and wanted to watch the Super Bowl. The staff turned on the American football game for them to watch. Then the whole bar joined in to watch the important (and fun) game.

As for the drinks... they were good and...

The place is okay. The drinks are not as good as the reviews say (though reasonably priced). The pisco sour I had was one of the worse I had in Peru. They had none of the local craft beers from the menu and the one they gave me off the menu was suddenly far more expensive then the ones that were on the menu (Guess I had to ask the price there first, beginner mistake maybe).
