Interesting little spot serving Korean-style food alongside pizza, pasta, and chicken wings. Cash or credit cards accepted.
The main draw here is their all-you-can-eat buffet. It's a prix fixe, three-tiered buffet with each successive tier costing slightly more but giving you more options to incorporate into your buffet.
The basic buffet features a selection of mostly Korean dishes - rice, soup, dumplings, finely chopped beef and pork, a cake dessert option, several types of sauces and other garnishes. A good variety just on its own. There's also a cold area where uncooked meat appetizers are kept and you can cook them on your table with a gas grill they bring to you. I think that's included in the basic buffet option.
By paying more you get access to a la carte options like pasta, pizza, and chicken wings. The pizza slices are very small, tapas style. Think of a regular piece of pizza, cut that in half, and then take one of those halves and cut it in half. That's the size of the pieces. My two pieces of pepperoni pizza actually were so small they didn't have any pepperoni on them. They were still tasty, but....
Their chicken wings are impressive! Chunks (not just wings) of chicken cooked then covered in a light but thick batter before being coated in the flavor of your choice. Their Insanely Hot wings were barely spicy at all. Their garlic parmesan were drown in butter, and their sweet honey wings were deliciously sweet.
Everything was good. They do charge if you don't finish what you eat and you aren't allowed to share anything with anyone else or else that person will be charged a full buffet price as well. Common sense, but make sure you remember! There's also a charge for what you don't eat so beware to get just a little at a time to make sure you like it and will finish it.
You can order a la carte rather than buffet style. A variety of drinks (including beer) to choose from, but their house sweet iced tea is very delicious.
Staff is friendly and worked hard to explain my options to me. If you're really hungry this is a great place...
Read moreI'm a fan of Italian food so when I read good reviews for this place which makes its own pasta, I had to try it. I had the spinach ravioli and one of my two friends had the same. The other friend ordered the carbonara aglolotti. I found my ravioli just a little chewy, but I'd rather it be under cooked than over cooked. The spinach filling was a little strong for my taste, but my friend liked it. Adding a little mild cheese to the spinach filling would make it perfect for my taste. My other friend said the carbonara agnolotti was superb. When our pastas arrived we thought the servings looked small, but in fact they turned out to be sufficient. We had read in a review somewhere that orders take a while to be delivered because the pasta is made fresh, but ours arrived very quickly. We also ordered the funnel cake out of curiosity (not knowing what it was) and enjoyed it. Was much lighter than it looked and not overly sweet. I had a hot ginger herbal drink to accompany my meal, and that was nice too. Service was efficient and attentive. Note there are only 3 parking spaces outside the restaurant, and no on-street parking nearby that we could see, so if you are driving your own car, probably best to take a taxi at weekends. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to have someone assist drivers back out onto the road when leaving. The restaurant is right on a bend in a busy road, so it's hard backing out at night. I'd rate this 4.5 stars normally, but as Google doesn't enable intermediate ratings I will go for a 5 because prices were very reasonable so we considered this dining experience very good...
Read moreI've ate at various restaurants here in Baguio over the years, from your cheap dimsum diners to highly rated fine dining restaurants but one restaurant stood out in my most recent trip to Baguio and that is at Red Rustikz. The exterior and interior of the restaurant looks just like any other above average restaurants in Baguio but it was warm and cozy inside as they have an open plan from the kitchen to the dining area so you can watch them prepare your meal. The staff on the other hand are laid back so much so they look like the kind of people you can offer a roll of kush and they'd gladly accept it. Anyway, we ordered our meals paticularly, the salad with grilled chicken, the ravioli and the roasted pork belly with lemon and parsley rice. For dessert we ordered mango crepes. From the salad to the dessert, we were blown away by the flavor of their food. The vinigarette was sweet and tangy and the grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned. The ravioli's flavor was sweet and savory with each bite and the pork belly was soft and tender. All in all we had a great experience with this restaurant and I highly recommend this place to any foodie looking for a good place to eat in Baguio....
