This is just my honest review, I can't say this is how the food is every day, but on this day this was my experience.
I live near the newer Robinson's in Valencia, where they also have a Gerry's. I regular eat there and never had a complaint about the food quality. As a picky eater my choices are limited, so I always get the one thing I know I love from Gerry's, that's the chicken kebab with a side of rice. Even my 1 year old daughter LOVES the kebabs!
So today while I was in CDO with my wife and daughter, we decided to eat at Gerry's being that we all 3 like it. When my wife orders, she always ask for a glass of water with no ice for our 1 year old to drink. In Valencia, the first thing they do is bring us all a glass of ice water and of course glass of water with out ice. Well Gerry's in cdo never brought any water. They did however bring my drink. A while later they serve our food. Still my wife and daughter have no water to drink. So I finally get one if there attention to ask again for water. Then came 2 glasses of water. At this point I was never bothered as they were a bit busy.
Then came time to eat. The chicken was seriously dry. I was surprised. Then I took a bite of rice. Where my disappointment only grew. The rice was under cooked and extremely dry. I honestly had to take a drink to wash each bite down. After eating a few kebabs, I bit into something hard. I then pulled out a small bone. That was the end of my lunch. Half my kebabs and half my rice was left on the plate. I was more then disappointed only because at there other location I absolutely love the food.
My wife had a soup, even her meat in the soup was surprisingly hard where as or regularly go to location she loves the soup. Of course we had the same dry rice but for her she was able to take some soup juice and make the rice better.
Now that's the bad. There was one thing I liked better then the Valencia location. That they use a biodegradable straw.
For me I will never go back to this CDO location. Personally I love Gerry's food, just had a negative experience to this location.
I included a pictures I took from Valencia Gerry's. Take note of house much sauce is left on the plate after taking a kebab off. They are soo moist and juicy. But the cdo location had almost nothing at all left on the plate. They were...
Read moreI recently dined at Gerry's Grill, and I had a fantastic experience, thanks largely to our waiter, Sir Renie, From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome with a warm greeting and a friendly smile.
He were attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the right moments and ensuring our drinks were topped up. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering helpful recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. He immediately listened when we asked if the chop suey had shrimp in it. He also asked which ingredient we didn't want in the chopsuey so that he could inform the chef, since it hadn’t been cooked yet.
The service was prompt, and even though the restaurant was busy, Sir Renie managed to keep everything running smoothly. It’s clear that he take pride in their work, and it really enhanced our dining experience.
Thank you, Sir Renie, for making our lunch so enjoyable. We’ll...
Read moreWe stayed in Cagayan for three days, and Gerry’s Grill was our top food choice among all the restaurants we tried in Cagayan and Bukidnon. Our second favorite was Ricardo’s Restaurant in Bukidnon.
At Gerry’s Grill, we were warmly entertained as soon as we entered and didn’t have to wait long for our food. The dishes were excellent, and the service was just as impressive. Mark, Neil, and Rene personally interacted with us, beyond their neat and fresh appearance, they stood out for their friendliness and great personalities.
Everything went smoothly during our meals; nothing was lacking. The whole team was wonderful, and we especially loved the vibe of the place, including...
