Ayer's Lechon — Restaurant in Cebu City

I've eaten here many times. The pork lechon varies a lot. Rarely is it tender and juicy. I've learnt not to order the lechon with rice meal deal, as you hardly get any meat. But you can order by 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or 1 kg amounts. You get more lechon, but with these option you also get given quite a lot of bones, which make up part of the weight you're buying. I always get pieces that are just bone, as in no meat on the bone at all. I asked the staff why they give so much bone, and apparently it's cut by guillotine, so you get what you get. The skin is rarely crispy and delicious. It's normally either over cooked and tasteless, or soggy and not crispy. But I keep going back as good lechon is hard to find, and there's always the hope of getting a juicy tender meal if you're lucky. They do have a wash station, but no toilets.
