The actual food is fine (will edit this review if I start throwing it up), however everything else about this McDonalds makes me think that it’s not fit to be associated with the McDonald’s chain as it is nowhere near the usual standards of restaurants you find overseas.
Service is absolutely lacklustre, you wait forever for a screen to become available and then once you’ve paid your order the wait to receive your food is shocking. If you’re looking for ‘fast’ food, you won’t get it here. One member of staff on their own putting together the orders which in itself isn’t right but if you were on your own you’d think there would be some urgency in your work, but absolutely none. Orders coming up on the screen saying ready to serve and then being put together 20 minutes later. No apologies, no smiles, it seems to just be the expectation here that you receive slow service and that’s that. Tables also covered in food, it’s basic politeness for customers to clear their tables when finished but when that doesn’t happen it’s normal that there is someone who works here that clears them, but that isn’t the case here, so you sit upstairs. The restaurant is gritty as a whole.
This McDonald’s just seems understaffed and the staff that they do have working there have no motivation or interest in...
Read moreThis McDonald’s location was easily one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. The kind of penny-pinching you’d expect from a street stall, not a global American brand.
No Straws Policy? They outright refused to give straws to customers—unless you ordered a McFloat. I explained it was for a toddler, and they still said no. That’s not policy; that’s absurd.
Sundae in a Glass is a Crime Now? On my way out, I was stopped because the sundae came in a glass cup. They wanted me to transfer it into a paper cup before leaving. Never mind that no one told me this when I ordered it.
No Working Card Machine. Their credit card machine was “down,” so if you didn’t bring cash, you were out of luck. No sign, no notice, no solution.
This place is dysfunctional from top to bottom. We won’t be coming back, and I’d advise anyone visiting El Nido to avoid this location if you expect even basic...
Read moreDo not use the self serve kiosks, they do not show what is available and unavailable at the time of ordering, as a result we had to change half of our order at the counter because they were unavailable. This Mcdonald's is not usually busy during Breakfast hours, which is why we only had to wait 3 minutes for the food we ordered. This Mcdonald's seems new and is well located a few metres away from the beach and many shops. Staff were well trained, however no ham or pan de sal buns were available, making only 2 breakfast burgers available. From the looks of it this Mcdonald's has no fries and is similar in stock to Mcdonald's in Coron. This Mcdonald's is alright and I would reccomend it to people who don't mind changing their order because of the fact that more than half of the menu is...
