Lucky we ordered quite a few of their entrees and salad which were quite good and we actually did enjoyed their croquettes and Salmon Carpaccio. However once our order the Fideua arrived, everything went down hill from there. It was salty and quite burnt. The Prawns which cost around 400 plus came in a tiny plate with 5pcs of prawns and also salty. What made it worsts was their Churros. For its price of 420 php for 3pcs of churros, the churros itself was bad. It was hard (i can barely bite it with my front teeth as im worried to damag them) and the dipping sauce was were 1 chocolate sauce and a condensed milk! For a place like that you dare served a condense milk as a churros dipping sauce? Also the churros when i asked if its home made, your team said its actually FROZEN PRODUCT ORDERED FROM A SUPPLIER. For its price, you could have done better. To be fair, your team were nice enough to offer not to pay for the churros but we insisted to pay as we're worried that it will be charge to them. The service was above our expectations. I wasnt thinking of writing this review. However, the 3 of had some tummy upset this morning and we suspect it was from one of the food that we ate from this resto. Its a shame that its well located just right at the front beach of Lio and the service were outstanding, but the food...

I had the pleasure of dining at Punta Playa Mediterrasian Cuisine during my visit to Lio Beach in El Nido, and it was an exceptional experience! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the stunning beach views.

The menu is a delightful fusion of Mediterranean and Asian flavors, offering a unique twist that truly tantalizes the taste buds. I started with gazpacho, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the seafoos paella which was great! The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and each dish was cooked to perfection.

The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations based on my preferences.

What I appreciated most was the ambiance—dining with the sound of the waves and the gentle breeze made for a truly memorable meal. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends, Punta Playa Mediterrasian Cuisine is the perfect spot.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough! If you find yourself in El Nido, make sure to stop by Punta Playa for an unforgettable...

I came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The reception staff was welcoming and professional, and we really appreciated the helpful recommendations provided. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the servers was disappointing. During our visit, the server appeared inattentive toward me and directed all of her attention exclusively to my partner. While I understand that service styles can differ, the lack of acknowledgment felt dismissive and unprofessional.

That said, the food was excellent — the tuna carpaccio, sizzling garlic shrimp, and the bottle of wine we ordered were all fantastic. The live band added a great atmosphere and really enhanced the evening.

6/11: to respond to the owner: we were there on June 7th around 7pm, we changed seats once to stay away from construction site so we ended sitting very close to L’assitte and right next to the 4 German people table in front of the band. I didn’t catch the lady server’s name as she never once has eye contact with me so I can’t really see her name tag if there was one. I tried to reach out to you in IG with a screenshot of your respond, if you have any questions please contact me via DM (I don’t know if Google review allows us for more...

No visit to Lio is complete without a meal at Punta Playa. I had my favourite Salad Niçoise and although I had to wait a while (a large Spanish group was seated just before me) they kept me occupied with hit bread and Calamansi juice with honey on the side. The Salad was perfect- the Tuna was just seared on the outside and raw in the middle, the eggs were warm and the capsicum diced and beautifully presented. I had to collect a friend at 2 pm and go to an 18th birthday party so sadly I had to dash off and miss desert. When I complimented the Manager on still being the best restaurant in Lio he remembered me from my last visit (2 months ago) and thanked me for my continued support. We discussed how good it was to see the new restaurants opening (they started work on Red Crab that day and Liam’s opened the previous month) at Lio after so many closures caused by COV 19. I have every confidence in the months ahead the restaurant scene at Lio will continue to develop and eventually rival that in El Nido. It’s the perfect location with easy parking, beautiful views of the sunsets over Bacuit bay, and often in the evening there is live music.

Upon looking at the three restaurants facing the beach, Punta Playa appeared to have the best view of the upcoming sunset along Lio Beach. Arriving at 5:15, I intended to have dinner while overlooking the beach, enjoying some Mediterranean-style food. However, as I approached the restaurant, I was informed that the kitchen didn’t open until 6 p.m. because the chef was on a break. That’s okay; I didn’t mind, as I wasn’t particularly hungry, so I opted for a drink while I waited. The service to order the drink, receive it, and pay for it was, to put it mildly, measly. Each step took a minimum of 5 minutes, and while they might have had other things to do during this quiet period (there was only one other table occupied), it was still disappointing. I fear I might have caught them at a bad time, and they may have been distracted, but isn’t a customer at your restaurant a top priority in 90% of cases? Ultimately, I decided to go elsewhere for dinner, as I grew hungry for some attention. While the beer was nice, that’s probably not the establishment’s doing.

This laidback beachfront restaurant is a breath of fresh air in El Nido. They have a solid range of tapas that go beyond the quintessential patatas bravas or slivers of jamon iberico. It will automatically transport you to Madrid or Barcelona, wherever you prefer. You can start your savoury feast with a nice cold serving of gazpacho and snack on some slices of pan con tomate. A large paella to share with the whole table is a must-order for its crisp, slightly charred edges – it also comes packed full of flavour and fresh ingredients. An order of the grilled rib eye (they serve best steaks in the island) is definitely worth pigging out on. Of course, no Spanish meal would be complete without a good serving of bebidas. They make the best white sangria I have ever tasted. I could drink it all day. And if you still manage to find room, order a serving of most decadent lava cake you'll have in Palawan. From paella to tapas, Punta Playa does it right. It's one of the best places in El Nido worth spending your dough on.
