We booked a table for New Years Eve, the total price for dinner was 3,500PHP per person which included 5 courses (2 starters, 2 main courses and 1 dessert), 1 amuse Bouche and 1 welcome drink.
The service completely lacks any sort of organization, it was pure mess to say the least. Our waitress had almost zero knowledge about the dishes, she only described one dish (or better specified the types of sauce). There was pure madness with the drinks, the waiters placed all water and wine bottles from each table on the same counter. They kept pouring someone else’s one to another table!! I’m not sure why water and wine couldn’t be placed on the tables. Both us and another table next to us were quite upset to say the least. Also when we asked for drinks menu they said we could only have wine and we couldn’t order any cocktails. Then some other tables 30 minutes later ordered cocktails and also beer. When we asked for a beer and they said they didn’t have any, at that point I couldn’t but point out that the other table was served beer. This is extremely strange to say the least.
Food is well presented but when it comes to taste, we didn’t find it particularly exceptional. It was good but to me it wasn’t worth it the price (and we frequently go to high end restaurants).
I think this place could have potential in the future, but for now it pretends to be something that is clearly not: a high end restaurant in El Nido area.
We paid 9,800PHP: 3500 per person + 2400 for wine + 400 for two bottles of water. The overall experience wasn’t worth it at all, neither the food nor the service. It was New Years Eve and we really wanted to have a nice experience, but unfortunately it turned out to be...
Read moreTAAS Restaurant in El Nido is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The intimate atmosphere, with its cozy lighting and relaxed island vibe, set the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
The service was exceptional—our waiter didn’t just take our order; he truly connected with us, sharing stories about the dishes, the local ingredients, and his personal recommendations. It felt like we were dining at a friend’s home rather than just another restaurant.
Now, the food—simply incredible. The flavors were bold, rich, and thoughtfully curated. Each dish was an adventure in itself, bursting with creativity and passion. While I did feel that some of the flavor combinations were a bit complex—perhaps too many elements competing at once—when the flavors did shine through, they were outstanding. A touch more simplicity could elevate an already fantastic dining experience even further.
Despite that small note, everything else was flawless. From the beautifully plated dishes to the incredible service and inviting atmosphere, TAAS Restaurant is a...
Read moreWe had the amazing 8-course tasting dinner at Taas and it was the highlight of our family’s El Nido trip. The food was a creative blend of Filipino flavors with French style preparations expertly executed by Chef Jeremy Munoz and his team. The wine and cocktail pairings were also on par and really complemented to food flavors. Some of our favorites were the Mini Tart Ginataang Jackfruit, Prawn Ravioli, and Chocolate Lover dessert. The beautiful space was like dining in a high end filipino nipa hut perched above the tops of the palm trees with the ocean breeze gently flowing through the restaurant. An expertly curated blend of chill / samba like music floated across the dining room booked ended by the rustling of the palm trees during our dinner. It all made for an amazing and intimate evening. Shout out to front of the house (Mars) and the service staff who handled our dinner reservation for 12 and our overall dining experience. It was so appreciated how Mars and the restaurant was able to accommodate my family’s group size and needs. Many thanks once more, and we look forward to our return dining experience at...
