Airport pick up/drop off |Staff are very polite but we had problems with the following:|1) booking.com advertised the place with airport shuttle. I sent our itinerary and also sent message whats up but nobody was at the airport to pick us up. They never confirmed via email or whatsapp . A lady came 30 minutes later and was charging us 1200 pesos. When I mentioned to Mark, the receptionist, two days later that I had spoken to a lady during our tour C that their airport shuttle was free, Sophia’s guest house lowered down the airport pick up charges from 1200 to 800 and offered a free transport from the guest house to the airport. ||Laundry- my husband dropped off a 22 piece bag for laundry and he was told by Mark to put it on the reception desk area. He was not given an invoice. When he followed up about his laundry, Mark told him that the laundry mat is having trouble with rhe water supply. We followed up on laundry on our third day at Soohia’s and Mark told my husband that he will bring it to our room. My husband didn’t bring too many clothes so he was expecting laundered clothes to be delivered. On the day we were leaving, my husband hadto wear wet rash guard to the airport and to make matters worst, he is sick and coughing. Sophia’s guesthouse staff members kept denying that we had given clothes for laundering. We were under time pressure and we were told the laundry mat does not open until 8 am. Sad to say we never to our 22 pieces of clothes back as if no conversation during the past two days ever happened. They said that it did not show on CCTV. Now we are out of clothes some of which we bought duting our travel to Vietnam prior to coming to El Nido.||I borrowed a used shirt for my husband so that he won’t catch pnemonia||Bathroom - my husband and daughter said it smelled of urine||Rooms- not updated and full of cracks on walls/ceiling with smell of mold||Food- ordered beef tapa but they seem not to have it even thoigh it is in their menu||Tour - we were not informed as guests that the docking area is within a few meters away from Sophia’s Beach house. We had a ride a tricycle going to El Nido beach and it was unnecessary||I am expected to be compensated with...
Read moreWe had a lovely staying as the location and the facilities were good, however, we paid an extra night (Saturday 15th March) with the purpose to arrive early at the following day (Sunday 16th March) and unfortunately after more than 24 hours traveling when we arrive to do the check in, the recepcionist called Ben told us that the room was not ready as someone from her team provided it the previous night to another guest. By that time, we were shocked and we started to check different accommodations as we were exhausted. The situation created us a lot of stress and it was not fair after the amount of hours traveling plus the extra payment we made with our main purpose to relax. |We showed to Ben the message we had with the hotel because when we finished the booking via booking.com we spoke straight away with the hotel to inform about our flights situation explaining that the purpose to pay an extra night, it will be to provide us relax after our long trip. |Ben was really nice all the time trying to provide us a solution and as a temporary solution she provided us a room which someone cleaned it within 10minutes hence the standard of cleaning was not really adequate but at least she tried her best. |Nevertheless, our room was ready at 12pm hence we paid an extra night for nothing because we were not able to enjoy the facilities. Even thought the hotel didn't even suggest us to do a refund or compensate us for their mistake. |Despite of everything, we will really appreciate Ben's help because she...
Read morethe location is not that good, in the evening the high tide brings the water right to the building stairs, the beach in front is not sandy, more like dirt and rocks, so you can't stay with a beach towel; but you could reach the El Nido center or Las Cabanas beach with a trycicle in a few minutes; ⁃ although the location is quiet, the place has very thin walls/floors and you can hear everything from your neighbors, even every step they take or every time the close a door; there are 6 signs that try to tell people to keep quiet, but everybody ignores them; although the room was ok regarding cleaningness, the bathroom wasn't good, there was mold and dirt on the walls, the sink was dirty; we used the toothbrush we received to clean the tiles, which they could also easily do, but didn't; also, there was a horible smel, from the sewer, most of the days, which was clogged a few times; we've got air conditioning, which did his job, but was pretty loud, and being encased in the wall we heard strange noises coming from that wall, especially when it was of, sounded like it was comming from some living things in the wall; the staff was very friendly, helpful, it arranged for us the boat tour A, did our laundry, we rented a kayak from them, also the transfer to the airport; if we asked them to change our towels/sheets they responded very quickly, so we have only good things to...
