Mahogany Beach Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in El Nido

After reading all the great reviews we couldn't wait to have dinner here.

Nice vibe, candlelit right by the beach.

We arrived at 7.15pm. All the tables were full so we ordered a starter at the bar and said we would wait until we had a table to order the mains.

When we were seated we ordered the mains straight away.

We waited 45 mins (8pm) for a small crab roll.

We waited a further 1.5hrs for mains.

The (friendly) staff were understaffed and running around trying to keep up with everyone.

It was only when we were leaving that the manager, Nicolas, asked if everything was ok. We voiced our complaints and he offered us to dinner the following night. We were leaving the next day so this wasn't possible.

We’ve eaten here 3x! One is breakfast and two for dinner. On our first meal, which was breakfast we ordered Homemade beef tapa, the meat was very good, a solid breakfast! Egg was cooked very well!

Second time was dinner, we ordered grilled squid, yellow fin tuna cheeseburger and sashimi to start with. Food was so delicious! And so succulent! Chips are very good too!

Third time was dinner, we ordered pork ribs which was amazing! Super tender and flavourful and ordered the yellow fin burger AGAIN! Cause it was very good!

Service has been very good. Attentive staff and does everything efficiently. Very friendly

Atmosphere, I’d say perfect location for people looking for a romantic setting. Right by the seaside and cute lights to add on the ambience.

stayed at the hotel next door, walked over here to have lunch. the restaurant is facing the beach under the tree. have a nice view of the sunset and the water. The menu is mixed local and western, a lot of seafood based dish. I tried their whole lapu (grouper) I believe is fried but still very juicy. there are still a lot of oil on the plate when served. it's a very big portion, it's best to share so you can also order something that can fill up. the fish itself doent come with rice or noodle so it might not be enough to last long.
