I had a disappointing experience at this place today(specifically with the cashier named RIZA). From the moment I approached the counter, she looked irritated, like she didn’t even want to be there. I tried to order JCO mini donuts for my little sister(she loves mini donuts) along with 1solo and two drinks, but Riza immediately said they weren’t available despite the fact that I could literally see them being prepared right behind her!!!! To make things worse, another staff member confirmed they WERE available, but Riza still insisted they weren’t causing an awkward backandforth in front of me. After a few awkward seconds she finally said they were available, but with an attitude so bad it made the entire interaction unpleasant.😩 And oh! There was no greeting, no smile, just poor service that made the entire experience uncomfortable. If she doesn't enjoy her job, maybe she should consider leaving or at the very least, JCO Donuts should train their staff properly on what good customer service actually means. A simple smile and a friendly attitude go a long way, and unfortunately, that was completely missing from my...
Read moreFirst of all, a bit of background. I came here after living in New England for half a dozen years. In that time, I averaged one trip to Dunkin' Donuts per work day. I am single-handedly responsible for paying the mortgage of a Dunkin' manager, and the college tuition of 2 or more Dunkin' employees simply from doughnut purchases.
J.CO makes me regret not moving here 7 years ago.
On an arbitrary scale I just made up, J.CO scores a 79.327 versus a weak 32.846 earned by Dunkin'. J.CO is clearly at least 2 times better than Dunkin' Donuts except for one category.
Speed of delivery. While the doughnuts are absolutely amazing, and the coffee beats Starbucks (by about 21.386 random points) the counter service beads some streamlining.
Despite the slow pace of service, I look forward to buying the manager a new car, and paying the rent for half a dozen J.CO employees, simply on the profits they will make from me buying their doughnuts and coffee. Especially the "Alcapone". Try it, it will...
Read moreAs a dedicated J.CO donuts & coffee enthusiast, I've visited various branches in Cebu, including this one multiple times. Unfortunately, I've consistently observed the staff here to be rude and unwelcoming. On my most recent visit, I brought friends who were new to this branch. Without sharing my previous experiences, one of my friends immediately remarked on the unprofessional behavior of the staff, particularly the cashier, who sighed audibly when asked to change an order. It actually gave me some bits of validation that I'm not the only one feeling disappointed about the staff LOL.
While I understand that fatigue or personal problems may play a role, it's essential for employees to maintain professionalism. If the job is not enjoyable, I believe it should not impact the customers' experience. Despite the excellent food and pleasant ambiance, THE POOR SERVICE significantly detracts from the...
