Bay-Bay Seafood & Grill - La Union — Restaurant in Luzon

A small, crowded AND noisy restaurant. We’ve been there on the weekend for lunch and the place was packed with customers and they played a really annoying, loud kind of Techno music, we couldn’t have a normal conversation at the table, we had to raise our voice😡😡😡. In addition the air con in the second floor was OFF, only the first floor was air conditioned, it was so hot. Waiting time for the food was with 30min at the absolute limit, more we wouldn’t accept. Staff is friendly, but not really attentive at the second floor, only 1st floor and outside😰. We had a steamed Pampona, mussels and popcorn shrimps. The fish was overcooked and almost cold when it reaches our table. The mussels are still attached to the half shell, I would expect from a seafood restaurant that the muscle of the mussels would be cut off. The bread which was served with the mussels was greasy and soaked in oil😱.The popcorn shrimp were crispy but not cleaned🤮, and served with the head. We are no friends of eating intestines and heads, so the shrimps are a NO GO for us. The dip or sauce served with the shrimps was COLD!!! We ate at Baybay Seafood and Grill is nothing short of spectacular. Overall, the seafood bucket is a value-for-money order. I could've done better with the picture, but it had medium crabs, shrimp, 3 types of clams (razor daw, cockles, scallops), one pusit 😂 sausage, a few marble potatoes, and a peppery sauce that will make you ask for more rice 🥲

I ordered extra Cajun clams, I assumed it didn't have any (d ko ata nabasa) cheese pero meron. Masarap nman- it just didn't have the Cajun flavor.

Kids had chicken wings and fish fillet. Uhmmm k lang. The tartar sauce was ok too. Nothing fancy.

The waiters got overwhelmed when the waiting lines started. A little training can help them, but they tried their best.
