Had a superb dining experience at LaPita by Chef Sam.Ro. Curated a Poblacion food crawl for a visiting friend and started with LaPita. It was a delight when Raul greeted us and made us feel welcome from the get go. Raul is Israeli and had been here for a little under 2 years specifically to run the front end of the restaurant. He, his uncle who used to manage a separate business in Dusit Thani and Chef Sam run this restaurant. Raul's family in Israel has an olive garden and they manufacture premium Olive Oil and this is what is being used by LaPita. In fact, most of their ingredients are sourced from Israel. Because we were having a food crawl, we only ordered a few dishes but BOY!! did they leave a markā£ļø We had Hummus with Pita (₱460) and a mix of Beef and Salmon Arayes (₱620). Never had better hummus and pita in the Philippines. Their Pita is baked fresh daily. Made of wheat, it is soft and pillowy with the right chew and a bit of charred flavor, exhibiting their brand. It is the perfect companion for their other food offerings. The Beef Arayes was flavored well and is a standout. The Salmon came with dill, tomato and Greek yogurt for another flavor bomb. These were accompanied by fries and a salad. Raul went the extra mile by giving us free Israeli Olives (both dark and green) which exhibited contrasting flavor profiles but provided a good flavor twirl in between bites of our other dishes. He also let us sample their superb Frozen Rose Lemonade which had hints of rosewater, basil and lemon. What a joy to dine here. Will be back for a full meal next time. Eyeing their Beef Ribs or Lamb Shank, the Greek Fries and Burnt Cheesecake. Can't wait. Highly recommended!!

two weeks ago, had the best middle eastern eats in a while. i’ve been looking for a new place to call favorite for falafel wraps and lapita set the bar high once again

these are everything we had for dine in: •dip mix šŸ«‘ — comes with 2 thick pitas and their holy trinity of dips: hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and muhammara. honest to goodness thought baba ghanoush was gonna be my favorite or maybe hummus cause it’s a common occurrence for me in similar cuisine restaurants i’ve tried, but the muhammara was love at first dip for me 😭 i’m not even that fond of bell peppers, but this??? 🤯 •beef arayes 🄩 — was juicy at best •pita falafel šŸ„™ā€” my new favorite falafel wrap, packed with flavor and a chickpea patty brimming with herbs and spices 🌿 •muhallabia šŸ® — i like panna cottas, puddings, yogurts, and similar textures so i definitely loved this floral and fruity take šŸ‡

then got a take away pistachio knafeh cheesecake šŸ˜‹

the place is small but spacious, good to seat a few groups of varying sizes. the staff are also accommodating and gave the best service by providing assistance and convenience, from knowledge about their food and recommendations with what would go well together and portion sizes

would definitely come back when i’m the area again, i hope sooner...

Delicious middle eastern place in Makati! I love the decor inside, it’s so homey and a nice place to catch up with friends. Parking is really bad though, we did street parking and a parking attendant charged us 100 pesos THEN asked for a tip when we were leaving. Idk if that’s normal but it’ll probably be better to park elsewhere and just walk here if you don’t want to pay that much for street parking.

Otherwise, staff were really nice and they gave us their recommendations. We got the dip platter and tbh the other 2 dips were better than the hummus. The hummus is so-so, I’ve had better elsewhere but the third dip (Muhammara) is the best of the 3. The beef arayes was actually quite bland and not actually worth coming here for. Like people here say it’s good and the staff recommended it but even the dips had more flavor?? The shawarma bake is delicious! My friend doesn’t even like lamb but they loved it! If you’re coming here to try their meat, ditch the beef arayes and get the shawarma bake instead. The staff was nice enough to cut our shawarma bake for 2 so it was easier to share! Their cheesecake is divine! It’s expensive as heck and I was doubtful any slice of cheesecake could be worth that much but it’s...
