Craving Chinese food, we decided to have lunch at Mey Lin in Megamall, having heard good things about their flavorful dishes.
We started with vegetable side dishes, which tasted good but were a bit too oily for our liking. The chicken rice topping was decent—I particularly enjoyed the slight vinegar hint in the fried chicken, which balanced the flavors well. However, the hot and sour noodles fell short of expectations. The broth leaned too much on the sour side, throwing off the balance, but the noodles themselves were excellent—chewy and well-textured.

The dried string beans dish was very good. The mapo tofu was ok. It was saltier than most mapo tofus I've had; and not as spicy as I was hoping. I ordered their deep fried intestines; I've not tried them before. They were nice and crispy; but there was an aftertaste that I found unappealing. It is definitely an acquired taste. The chicken feet was not so good. Even with the sauce, I found them a bit dry.
