Dulang Restaurant in Manila offers a delightful taste of Tausug and other Mindanaoan cuisines that are both authentic and affordable. Known for its halal and flavorful dishes, it provides a unique culinary experience featuring specialties like the famous Tiyula Itum (black soup) and chicken curry cooked with coconut milk, reflecting rich Tausug flavors with a hint of Malaysian influence. The food is consistently praised for being delicious, filling, and budget-friendly, making it a popular spot for both Muslim and non-Muslim diners alike. Its location in Malate, Manila, makes it accessible for those wanting to explore Mindanao’s halal culinary heritage without breaking the bank

The food was good, prices are reasonable but a little expensive - expensive because it is hard to get halal food. This place is gonna be packed for lunch. Come early.

So I finally got to taste the tinolang itum, a Tausug soup dish made from beef and burnt coconut. Affordable meals and friendly crew, more importantly, halal food.

Their services were better 3 years ago. I don't know but perhaps due to high demand from customers, the staff can't afford to smile often. It's understandable, but the AC is almost always out of order. It's very hot inside especially during Lunch Time when there are a lot of people inside. Nevertheless, the food is really good. How they cook the viands are really how Mindanao people do it. In the middle of Malate, it's a delight to find a Halal restaurant just near the hotels and Robinsons Place Manila. They also have various Tausug/Moro delicacies not just Halal Muslim food. They have Bang-Bang Sug like Baulo, Putli Mandi etc., also for those who craves Pastil, Empanada, aaaaanddd SATTI! So come and...

The only reason I would eat here is because it serves halal food. Place is very dim. No air-conditioning as well so it was very humid inside. Food is okay although it would have been better if served hot. I understand that it's turo-turo style, but they could at least heat the food they serve to their customers. I came in for an early dinner and I didn't enjoy the dining experience since it felt like I was eating leftovers from lunch which probably was the case since I take that they cook in big batches to be served for the day. It lacks the warmth I was looking for (and terribly miss) in...
