New Steak & Wine Spot in Malate — Casual Dining with Serious Flavor
A promising new player has just entered Malate’s food scene, offering a refreshing balance of quality steaks, casual comfort, and a curated selection of wine and coffee. This newly opened steakhouse positions itself as an accessible yet elevated dining experience—with steak offerings that cater to both everyday indulgence and special occasions.
Their steak menu ranges from ₱500+ for a 250g cut to a show-stopping tomahawk steak at around ₱3,000. All cuts are cooked to precise doneness, and the kitchen clearly understands what medium rare should look and taste like—juicy, tender, and well-rested. If you’re eyeing the tomahawk, take note: you’ll need to inform them at least 24 hours in advance. They smoke it for 14–16 hours, which adds a rich depth of flavor not commonly found in casual steak spots.
We tried the Smoked Angus Beef Belly Solo, Steak Overload, and Smoked Hungarian Sausages. Each dish came out flavorful and well-portioned. The smoked angus was fall-apart, melt-in-your-mouth tender with a nice bark from the slow smoking process. The steak overload is great for sharing—generous portions and variety, ideal for first-timers. The Hungarian sausages were bold, juicy, and packed with smoky flavor—surprisingly addictive.
Beyond steaks, the menu also includes pasta, salads, coffee, and wine, giving diners flexibility whether they’re there for a hearty meal or just a relaxed glass of red and a light plate. The wine list is small but thoughtful, enough to pair with most dishes without overwhelming choices.
Service deserves a shoutout. The wait staff were genuinely pleasant—attentive without being overbearing, and they knew the menu well enough to make solid recommendations.
As for the ambiance—it hits the sweet spot between casual and upscale. Modern rustic interiors, warm lighting, and spacious seating make it comfortable for both date nights and group dinners. It’s the kind of place you’d go to unwind after work or celebrate a small win over a good meal and a bottle of cab sauv.
This steakhouse is clearly still settling into the rhythm of its opening weeks, but it already delivers on what matters: good food, good service, and a space you’d...

I ordered a Porterhouse, medium rare, expecting a proper grilled steak (as you would anywhere in the world). Instead, after waiting 45 minutes, what arrived was chewy, greasy, oddly sweet, and swimming in butter sauce. When I refused it, they brought back the same steak 10 minutes later — patted dry with paper towels, according to the embarrassed waiter.
When I questioned the manager, he insisted this was “normal” and pointed to a microscopic green bubble on the menu where it supposedly said “butter.” The conversation went downhill, with the owner even phoning in instructions, mafia-style, to “chase me down” after I declined to pay for something clearly not cooked as advertised.
For context: I’ve eaten in steakhouses around the world, and steaks are grilled, not boiled in butter. You should never have to declare lactose intolerance when ordering steak, any more than you’d warn a sushi chef you can’t eat rice.
If you like fatty, sweet, butter-drenched meat and don’t mind being shouted at if you complain, this might be your place. If you expect a real steakhouse experience — be warned.
Positives: attentive waitstaff, cheap prices. Negatives: poor product quality, misleading cooking method, hostile...

Let's talk about the food: simply delicious. The service is incredibly detailed and genuinely kind, making you feel truly cared for. The atmosphere is wonderfully chill and relaxing, enhanced by the soul-stirring Latin American acoustic guitar that creates a truly mesmerizing experience.
And in these times of severe inflation, the price of the steak is incredibly wallet-friendly!
I dined here with a hearty appetite. My first medium-rare steak was so phenomenal that I immediately ordered a second medium steak.
What made it even more special was that with my second order, I received bonus pieces of rare and well-done steak. This meant I got to savor a complete range of doneness—rare, medium-rare, medium, and well-done—making my meal, and truly my entire day, feel incredibly complete!
You absolutely must try this place! Highly...
