Restaurant view was beautiful but the food was disappointed. BEWARE! Do not be con by the horse Carriage man who go all out to SCAM you. Here is our story. On 4 Oct 2024, my wife and me had just finished our dinner at Harbor view restaurant around 8pm. While waiting for our grab taxi at restaurant road side, we were approached by this horse Carriage man with thin moustache (Mark, 25 yrs old, must be fake name and age) keep on insisting to bring us to our next destination Mall of Asia. The horse Carriage man keep on telling us he only charge 50 peso to bring us to Mall of Asia. We politely rejected his offer as we sense something is not right and continued waiting for our grab taxi. After waiting for 20mins, still no sign of our taxi, I decided to called our taxi driver again but at this point the horse Carriage man said he will help to speak to the taxi driver in Tagalog. After hanging up the call we realised he told the taxi driver to cancel our booking. At this point, since we don't have the taxi and we wanted to leave the place fast and was so pressured by this horse Carriage man keep on telling us he only charge us 50 peso for the ride. We finally give in to him knowing there might be consequences. True enough after around 13mins ride he told us he only can reach here somewhere after U.S. Embassy and told us to walk to Mall of Asia just a short distance ahead which is totally rubbish and not true. Before we were allow to get down, he asked to pay up. We gave him 200 peso instead of what he agreed at 50 peso. At this point he suddenly turn quite violent telling us, he never said 50 peso but 1,500 peso. We said no no you repeatedly said 50 peso only for the ride to MOA. He used his hand to block us from getting down the Carriage. My wife was so shocked and scared worry he would hurt us because he seem violent if we not pay him what he asked. I shout at him and said he is lying and scam us. After seeing my wife so scared and not to cause trouble, I decided to pay him 1,500 peso what he asked for. After he took 1,200 peso from us while I still trying to give him another 300 peso he suddenly said no, it 5,000 peso not 1,500peso. At this instance moment, I was boiling and shout at him louder saying we are willing to pay you 1,500 peso to stay out of trouble but never 5,000 peso. He still insisted again for 5,000 peso but I said NO and and we don't have so much money and finally gave him another 500 peso which make up a total of 1,700 peso for the ride of hell. This was the worst experience we ever encountered overseas. Please help us spreads around this incident to take down the syndicate who run horse Carriage ride just to cheat tourists. Thank you & stay safe! Regards, Roger Kho Singapore 🇸🇬 Date of visit: October 2024

Our group of 11 dined here on a rainy evening. We ordered sweet and sour lapu-lapu, sisig, halabos shrimps, ginataang puso ng saging, baked scallops, spinach, inihaw na liempo, pancit, and clam soup. We had 2 rounds of beer buckets which came with one choice of pulutan per order. So we ended up with almost untouched 1 order of sisig. The lapu-lapu and shrimps were fresh and tasted very good. The scallops was covered in melted cheese but quite small. Sisig was crunchy and done just right. Everything else was good-tasting; nothing extraordinary. Service was prompt. Waiter/s were attentive. CR could be improved. Also, since it is a seafood restaurant, a wash basin outside the CR or nearer to diners for washing hands would be advisable. Budget about P1k-P1.5k per head for a meal that is not tight on the budget and with healthy serving of fresh seafoods. Overall a good dining experience. It could be more relaxing if the sea were actually visible, so perhaps try to eat here at lunch or just before it gets truly dark.

If catching the sunset in Manila Bay is on your must-do list, Harbour View is a gem you shouldn't overlook. Imagine savoring fried scampi with tangy vinegar dipping sauce, indulging in squid ink delights, all while sipping on a few cold beers and witnessing the magical descent of the sun. It's an experience that truly stands out. What's particularly impressive is that no matter where you choose to sit, you're treated to an amazing view of the sunset. The staff at Harbour View is not only helpful but also incredibly attentive, making sure your time there is delightful. Seafood is fresh out of the sea and you can literally taste it. Surprisingly, the prices are reasonable, adding to the overall satisfaction. While the surrounding area might not be the most secure, taking a cab to get here is a wise choice. Just stay alert when stepping out, and you'll be able to focus on enjoying the stunning sunset and treats that Harbour View has to offer. This is one of my best dinners I had so far in Manila.

We had the kangkong with pork and a sizzling roast pork with rice. The two dishes were quite decent in person size and sufficient for two people. Quite tasty but a little on the salty side. We also had the baked scallops for starters - the scallops varied quite a bit in size. This small dish was rather $$$. The mango calahmasi slushie and calahmasi (aka lime) slushie were very refreshing. It was lovely sitting along the long pier side of the restaurant over looking the city lights in the evening. I did feel mossies trying to get me though. Next time it will be long pants or insect repellent for me. We didn't stay as long as we might have liked because of that. The bill came close to 2000php for 2.
