Burger King - UN Ave Roxas Blvd. — Restaurant in Manila

Needed a quick bite and this was open. Haven't been in a BK in the US for more than 3 years, and usually my experience is sub-par. The menu items were priced reasonably. Got a 4 cheese whopper junior and a spicy chicken king. The whooper didn't have the iconic flame broiled taste you'd expect in the US, but that could be from the large amount of cheese in there. Like 30-35% of the burger was cheese, which is good IMO. The spicy chicken king was mildly spicy and crispy, meat was juicy, but on the small side compared to American portions, which is fine. Burger King has always been one of my favorite fast food joints. This particular branch the burger is unusually dry contrary to the famous flame broiled whopper we are used to. There was a stray dog outside rummaging for scraps who refused the chicken nuggets. Something can probably be done to improve the food here but perhaps they just don't care, banking on the worldwide reputation and the local demand. If you had a choice just avoid this...

Not much seating inside, but wow I do love the whopper. Even though it's not on the menu, ask for the double whopper. They will make it for you. The fries and burgers were served hot.
