If you're the kind of person who loves to fall in-line that presses you to a glass window, or someone who loves to be served with unlimited rice with a twist of search & chase after the crew who serves those extra rice, or who finds it romantic to date a girlfriend for dinner in a crowded restaurant filled with strangers and gets to hear clearly their daily angst in life interceded with cackles and laughters from some other tables, or that kind of a lonewolf who spends his me-time in the wmbrace of random strangers crowding the limited space of the venue- then this is the place for you! 😆 Entering the establishment, you are likely to be welcomed by bumping into one of many random delivery boys that frequent this branch of Mang Inasal in V. Cruz! But you really don't have to worry about this if you had successfully obtained a Divisoria-during-Christmas level skill. You'll be thanking all the known dieties throughout human history as you successfully navigate yourself using this skill towards the counter to place your order (or should you fight your way first towards a potentially empty table- quite a dilemma, don't you think?). Well, any person who already subjected himself frequently to this bone-drying challenges in the past will always find these worth their while, because in the first place, the food served here is to...
Read moreFilipino Barbecue goodness. I'd say their food had undergone some transformation as the taste isn't the same as it was before. With that said, I'd say you're still getting your money's worth especially if you go for unlimited rice. There's also unlimited sinigang soup but for me, it's too sour. One can't go wrong with any of the menu items, they're all great.
The service is okay-ish. The staff is polite and they're quick to do their work but I think they need more staff. It's a reasonably-sized restaurant with very few workers.
The atmosphere, on the other hand... well, it's something left to be desired. The place just screams "I'm bland" and it's quite evident the moment you sit down to wait for your food. The echo situation is quite bad so when one is talking it resonates throughout the room. Because of that, the place is very loud when it's crowded. There's also only one hand washing faucet as the other one is out of service. The place would be better if they put some posters or pictures on the walls so it doesn't feel empty. It helps make the place seem alive.
Overall, good food, polite staff, but bland interior. I hope they'd make...
Read morePhilippines...the land of good food! If you find yourself here, be sure to visit Mang Inasal! This is one of my favourite restaurants in the Philippines. I wish I could learn the secret to their succulent and super delicious chicken! But it seems whenever I'm here, I always forget to ask because I'm too busy enjoying the food.
Chicken is not their only specialty. A variety of menu items will satisfy your palate. I quite like the sisig and the halo-halo.
A lot of people usually eat here, as they do in many other restaurants in the country, but you shouldn't be too worried about crowds as people just generally enjoy coming in to eat.
I feel they've defined the...
