If you're looking for an authentic Chinese place then, try here. Their Xiao Long Bao is the best. Served hot and flavorful. All of their dishes were good for me such as the Kiampong, Kikiam, Lava Buchi, Mango Shake and Cappuccino. All of them, indeed, met my expectations. You will be full once you try their food. Flaws are, you must fall in line to get a table. Long waiting time for the food to serve when they're at peak time. No parking space. Try to visit during weekday right when the store open to avoid crowding. Located at the back of Binondo Church. Ground floor is Chuan Kee. Same menu, but cheaper price of food, ambience is like Chinese Turo-Turo. People also lined up on this place but don't get puzzled and line up thinking that it is the same line as Cafe Mezzanine coz it's not. You must directly go to the second floor if you want to visit Cafe Mezzanine. Good ambience, air conditioned, different in price like adding 20-30 pesos each meal.

We've visited the place 5 years ago and it was not this crowded even during weekend. First thing to note is that this cafe is located on the 2nd floor and there is a resturant below with long queue. Don't be confuse like us who tought it was the line for this cafe. Go straight to the 2nd floor to see the actual queue. Upon arriving there's just a short queue since the tables are full. We waited around 15 minutes to be seated. Inside the place is airconditioned so this is a perfect place for me and my friends to rest after our Binondo Food Crawl experience. It took them around 30 minutes to serve our food but that is undetstandable because of the crowd. The serving of our orders is enough for two to three people. Please also note they allow outside food but you need to pay corkage fee of 500 php. Their food is okay. Our favorite is the pancit. They have clean toilet as well and its separated per gender.

HONEST REVIEW. NOT RECOMMENDED. I find this place extremely overrated. I was excited to experience the food alone but was quite disappointed. My friend and I ordered the ones mentioned in the attached receipt, flavours are good except the Wonton Noodles (in the menu it is indicated as "special" wonton noodle soup), not so special after all, we found it very bland, not a condiment was even offered. The temperature of the food was really bad. The chopsuey was pipping hot, but the lechon kawali was served cold when the airconditioned restaurant was not even cold. The texture and the temperature of the rice was a disappointment, knowing it's a South Asian restaurant. My friend and I didn't even finish the whole dining experience cuz aside from the food disappointment, the staff were louder than the guests. They were not even accommodating, and there is no crowd control at the tini-tiny waiting area. The place needs extreme renovation, if not, then just sanitation, cleaning and pest control. Walls are dirty and greasy, ceiling is moulding, covered in thick dark fungus, one of the reasons why we left quickly as it is a very unhygienic place to dine i. Some creepy crawlers also on the floor are grossing me out. We decided to just box for take out our leftovers. But guess what, our "special" wonton soup was not in the bag when we arrived home. They missed it! Where is the attention here. Im not asking for 5 star service but just simple attention to details, hygienic place to dine in and accommodating staff. Ugh. Not coming back and not recommending this place to anyone.

Cafe Mezzanine in Binondo, Manila needs some improvement. The taste of food is okay, overall experience is not great, the lack of attention to details of the cashier and server was below the standard. The servers lack of attention to details is very disappointing. They are not approachable. Restroom was so dirty. Even if I really needed to pee, I decided not to. The smell is awful and disgusting. I was also very disappointed to the unavailability of coffee. I dont understand, they call their shop a cafe but they dont serve coffee that day (July 3, 2023), ordered xiao long bao and hakaw but also unavailable. My partner and I visited this place because it was recommended and must try daw the Beef La Mien but it was not in the menu. I dont know if they dont sell that anymore. Lastly, when I ordered coffee and it was not available I decided to just order avocado smoothie, but when I ask for the bill, they still charge me for the coffee when it was not available in the beginning. If I did not check the receipt they could have profit over that. Ask for a new receipt but was not provided urgently. It was given to me after 10 minutes. I don't know what's the reason for the wait. I would say that I will never dine here again with this kind of service. They need to improve if they want customers to come back. PS. Pork siomai was still served cold. I did not mind them getting me a new one, it is possible kasi na it may take a while for them to provide. Lava Pao tastes confusing.

Cafe Mezzanine in Binondo, Manila has a some areas for improvement. While the food taste is okay, the overall experience seems to be impacted by the servers' attitude and the noisy kitchen. The servers' lack of enthusiasm towards serving customers like us is certainly disappointing, as it can significantly affect our dining experience. Customers expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere when they visit a cafe or restaurant, and the servers play a crucial role in creating that environment. Moreover, the noisy kitchen with plates, metals, and utensils clanging is quite distracting and unpleasant for customers. It is important to maintain a certain level of ambiance, especially in a cafe, where people typically come to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal. Lastly, another area of concern is thewaiting time, which took about 40 minutes. While it's not uncommon for some cafes and restaurants to have a waiting time during busy hours, it's important to manage it effectively to ensure customer satisfaction. PS. Seafood Chami is too salty.

Initially I thought this was a really good choice because of the line outside... My friend wanted to try Chuan Kee but since we were so hungry, we decided to go here since the server told us they have the same menu but different prices (probably because this place had AC). The place was very busy when we got there. Server told us that cooking time is 40 minutes. And we requested if they could give us the siopao ahead of our orders since one of my companion was diabetic & she was really hungry. He refused the request and told us it needed to be steamed, and we have to wait 40 minutes for siopao. Weird. Luckily, we had biscuits so we decided to munch on those while we waited. 40 minutes after, our food was served one by one, the dry xiao long bao which was lukewarm. Expected it to be piping hot because of the wait. The meat in the photo was really dry. We had the chicken & mushroom misua but the soup was too oily for me to enjoy but I really liked the mushrooms. And I did like the congee and the siopao. The ube shake was good too.
