As much as I wanted to like Bizu Patisserie & Cafe, it all boils down to not getting the value for money. I don't mind spending for meals as long as I feel it's worth every penny.
But this is not the case.
Pros: The cake, macaron, and chocolate display looked amazing and enticing.
Cons: Everything is overpriced. Again, it would have been ok if we had amazing bites and tastes from their dishes. But they all taste ordinary and nothing mind-blowing. Portions and servings are small and honestly not enough. We spent P2k+ on our afternoon snack, and I personally felt robbed. I've had better cakes and drinks from smaller cafes. We got Jolie (solo) P575 and Samba (solo) P465. Both are overly sweet and just not memorable. We got 3 drinks, namely: Cookies ans Dreams P385, cucumber juice P180, and Bizu Hot Chocolate P250, all of them nothing noteworthy other than the exuberant pricing. The place felt cramped and small just like...
Read moreA high-end restaurant and cake shop. The food is rather pricey, but quite good. I had the chicken pesto pasta and calamansi juice. The pasta was rather generous with its sauce, and there were quite a few bits of chicken. The juice was just right, not too sweet, but not too sour either. In many other places I have to ask for extra sugar or honey. The cakes and pastries were quite expensive, with their prices for individual servings at a par with entire cakes in most other bakeshops. I didn’t try any on this visit so I don’t know what the fuss is all about. I’ll try next time and will revise this review if needed.
The place is quite small, with ten 2-person tables, some of which are put together for larger groups. But it has a light and airy feel because of bright lighting and light decor. Also, there are mirrors on every side, an old trick for small places to give them a more...
Read moreI had been craving salmon eggs benedict for weeks now, and most of the restaurants near me would always not have stock. Fortunately, I remembered that Bizu has salmon eggs benedict on their menu.
Chef's kiss. Did not disappoint. All of the stuff we ordered from the menu (including hubby's Angus beef that was slow-cooked for 10 hours, Caesar salad) were amazing. Then again Bizu is one of my favorite restaurants (I used to visit the Greenbelt branch more often), so that's to be expected. They also serve complimentary bread basket.
This branch is one of the older restaurants in Alabang Town Center, long before it expanded to have so many other restaurants in its surrounding wing. Service staff are also great.
Ahhh. I forgot to go back after the movie to buy their...
