Gloria Maris — Restaurant in Muntinlupa

Place is clean, staff courteous. But I can say service is slow since they are understaffed. Then when we billed out, the waiter asked my partner TWICE if the price of the steamed lapu-lapu is ok which is 1,200 pesos for a small sized lapulapu that is literally just the size of a womans palm. Isn't it weird that they ask the customer if the price is ok for that certain viand..are they guessing the price? Padded up the normal price, "kung makaka lusot lulusot" kind of thing. JUST BE CAUTIOUS WHEN EATING IN THIS PLACE. ATC branch.CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. Make sure the price of the food item matches the one in the menu. BE ALERT if the waiter asked you "ok lang po ba yung price ng lapulapu" or whatever food item you will order WHEN you are billing out. Sana if the waiter asked during the time we were ordering...but when everything was paid already???? I find that...

1st Strike: I went to Gloria Maris because I was craving congee. Unfortunately, they weren't serving it that day at least.

2nd Strike: I asked the server if she can serve water already. She even asked if hot or cold. It never arrived. I saw that server just texting around the premises of Gloria Maris. I had to ask another server to get me some water.

3rd Strike: the server who didn't serve me water wasn't wearing face mask when not in proximity of customers. When she would go to the kitchen to confer with the cooks, she didn't wear face mask. More concerning, from what I can spy from my vantage, the whole kitchen crew weren't face masks.

My original intention was to give the place 1 star. But I must admit, the asado noodle soup I ordered was pretty...

Chinese New Year celebration and we ordered Peking Duck 3 Ways from Gloria Maris Alabang . i ordered the day before thru phone. The person on thenline asked for my name and i asked how do i pay but was told that i can pay when i picked up the order. Today i found myaelf empty handed - went to pick up my order only to be told that they have no Peking Duck. The person who talked to us just said - “ i have nothing else to say but sorry”. There’s quite a number of us disappointed and in same predicament as myself. Told that their order is not available as well. How irresponsible are the people who took our orders and did not make sure that our orders are avaialble. Gloria Maris...
