“Mixed Bag – Not the Worst, But Definitely Not a Repeat”

Dropped by this Japanese place on a whim, and while there were some decent points, the overall experience left much to be desired.

The makimono was enjoyable and the sushi tasted fresh, which was promising at first. However, the ramen was underwhelming—bland and lacking the savory depth you’d expect. The ebitempura sauce also felt flat; a touch of fermented ginger might’ve elevated it.

One of the biggest letdowns was the temperature inside the restaurant. Despite being inside a mall, it was surprisingly warm. The sushi actually started perspiring on the plate—not a great look—and I found myself sweating too, which is unusual for me. That really affected the dining experience.

On a more positive note, service was efficient. Dishes came out one by one, which isn’t ideal, but the overall wait time was short, and the staff was attentive.

In the end, it wasn’t a terrible meal, but nothing stood out enough to make me want to come back. It’s a one-and-done kind of...

I don't know if this place is good or not. I kinda think place falls in between.

The ramen is good, noodles are chewy and firm. I suggest stick to ramen in this place since the other menu they have are a big so-so to meh.

The gyudon is surprisingly good although I wish that they carry through with the "don" part. They serve it the meal in separate plate. A bit saucy but I kinda like that.

The pork katsu curry rice is not what I expected in the menu. The sauce is good, I can say that it is the saving grace of the meal but the pork katsu is weird. The texture is almost like a fish yet very rubbery. Imagine if your eating a fish ball, that is what felt chewing through it. I have to let my family taste it just to confirm if the pork is...

Been going to this restaurant since 2016. I dined in today ordering unagidon (eel with rice). I was the only customer inside the store until another guy came in. After 15 mins of waiting, I was surprised that the guy was served first with food. I asked for the manager on duty and she said that the server mistakenly gave my dish to the other guy. Mind you, there were at least 3 servers plus the manager. How can you give an order to another guy who clearly arrived later than I, the only customer that time. They offered to replace the dish but I simply did not have the appetite and time to wait for 15 mins more.
