Read moreFirst time dining in kiwami. Tried to be patient with the slow service considering it was already 8pm and it was almost closing time. But we really felt staff were waiting to clock out. Had to raise our hands so many times just to call their attention. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and when we received our order, we discovered a piece of hair stuck in one of the sticks in between the breadcrumbs. we called the attention of the staff and they removed it on our table..mentioned that they’ll just replace the order.. to our surprise, it only took them less than 5 minutes to make the “replacement” which made us wonder if they really replaced the whole dish. Because when we tasted it, it wasn’t hot and crispy anymore. seemed like the piece that had hair was the one replaced but not the other pieces.
Also, I mentioned that i’d like to get a classic akamaru ramen without the tamago but staff i guess misunderstood my order because what i got was the one with the tamago. I just let it slide because it took a while before it got served to us. Ramen also seemed not at the right temp because it wasn’t piping hot.. Halfway finishing our ramen, that was the only time we were served cold water.
The one who handled our bill, i believe it was a supervisor, was nice enough to apologize and she removed the mozzarella sticks from our bill.
Hope someone looks into this. Really concerned with the service because it’s different compared to other branches of yabu and ippudo.. we observed the other tables and they also had their own concerns during...
Read moreFirst time dining here and it was a pleasant experience. We availed their lunch set menu which costed us Php350 each and I'm happy to say that it was delectable, filling, and satisfying. I honestly thought the serving portion was small but when we received our orders, I was surprised that it's good enough for one person without needing to order anything else.
I availed the Rosu Katsu set while my companion availed the Fukuoka Bento set. Both included a free glass of blended ice tea. While my set comprised of main, side, soup, and dessert (fruit slices), my companion's set only had soup on the side so we both agreed that the katsu set was much more worth it. Then again, to each their own.
The meat itself was tender, and not overloaded with fat while the coating was light and crisp. It was also quite thick so each piece of sliced meat goes a long way. The soup was okay, nothing special about it. Same goes for the rice, which had an appropriate portion serving, the fruits and shredded cabbage were also okay.
The atmosphere was nice, the establishment was tidy and well maintained, and the staff were attentive and very accommodating. Our order didn't take too long to arrive too.
I would visit this place again to try out their other items and recommend it to others as well to try dining here at least once
(no pictures this time kasi...
