On August 4, 2025, we went to Festival Mall to visit the Active Hearing Center. I was with my partner and his classmate. Around lunchtime, we looked for a place to eat and decided to try Popeyes Restaurant. We entered the place in good spirits despite being tired and hungry.
Here’s exactly what happened: a crew member, whom I wasn’t able to get the name of, asked us, “Dine in or take out?” — but in a noticeably rude and irritated tone. I responded politely, “Dine in po, Ma’am.” I proceeded to give my order, then my boyfriend asked a simple question: “Ma’am, is the tenders made of chicken?” He was just curious, but her response was simply “Yes,” delivered with no warmth at all.
Throughout the whole interaction, the crew member didn’t smile, didn’t show any respect, especially with the way she looked at us. It felt like she hadn’t been trained properly on how to communicate or interact politely with customers. It’s concerning, especially since she works directly with people.
I’m not upset with the restaurant itself, but with the attitude of the specific staff member who couldn’t even offer a simple greeting or smile to diners.
As my company always reminds us: no matter how toxic your situation is, don’t take it out on others who have nothing to do with it. People may not remember you personally, but they will definitely remember the company you represent.
That’s all — I just hope that the staff in this branch can improve. Let’s always choose to...
Read moreSo since I've been craving for some fried chicken I've tried this branch in Festival mall. The first time I tried Popeye's was when they newly opened their branch in ATC. Kinda disappointed that their menu has changed since then coz I'm looking forward to eating some pancakes too and they're not on the menu this time. Nevertheless, my chicken craving was satisfied and instead of pancakes I tried their crab soup, which was okay but nothing special. I liked their take on spaghetti, so Filipino, the hint of liver spread was kinda surprising.
The prices are similar to other fast food places, so no surprises there. Overall, it’s a good choice if you want to try a different...
Read moreI bought takeout during Sunday lunch. I can understand the rush and patiently waited for 30 minutes. When I finally asked about my order, they said they are still preparing the honey biscuits. You can tell they forgot about it and just started cooking it. No apologies from the employee. No apologies from the manager. They were all just side eyeing each other. I will never go back there again. Popeyes Evia has...
