My recent dining experience at TGI Friday's in ATC was, unfortunately, far from the enjoyable outing I had anticipated. While there was a single bright spot in the culinary offerings, the overall meal was marred by excessive saltiness and a frustratingly slow service experience. I had looked forward to a casual dinner with friends, envisioning the familiar, comforting atmosphere and satisfying American fare that TGI Friday's is generally known for. However, the reality fell significantly short of these expectations. Let me begin with the one positive note of the evening: the Truffle Bacon Pizza. This dish was, without a doubt, the highlight of the meal. The crust was perfectly crisp, providing a sturdy base for the generous topping of savory bacon and fragrant truffle oil. The combination of flavors was well-balanced, the richness of the truffle complementing the salty bacon without overpowering it. It was evident that care and attention had been put into the preparation of this pizza, and it was genuinely delicious. If the rest of the meal had lived up to the standard set by this pizza, the evening would have been a completely different story. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the rest of our order, particularly the chicken platter. This dish, which we had chosen to share, was a major disappointment. The chicken itself, while visually appealing, was overwhelmingly salty. Each bite was an assault on the taste buds, leaving a lingering dryness and an intense craving for water. The accompanying sides, which I had hoped would provide some balance to the chicken, were equally disappointing. The fries were overly seasoned, bordering on inedible, and the coleslaw, which should have offered a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the chicken, was also far too salty. It seemed as though the chef had been overly generous with the salt shaker, completely disregarding the delicate balance of flavors that makes a dish truly enjoyable. The excessive saltiness permeated the entire platter, rendering it a far cry from the satisfying and flavorful meal we had hoped for. It was clear that this dish had not been prepared with the same level of care and attention as the pizza, and it significantly detracted from the overall dining experience. Beyond the disappointing quality of the chicken platter, the service also left much to be desired. While our server was initially attentive and friendly, things took a turn for the worse when we requested the bill. What should have been a simple and quick process turned into an exercise in patience. We waited an unreasonably long time for the bill to arrive, despite repeated attempts to flag down our server. It seemed as though our request had been forgotten, and we were left sitting at our table, increasingly frustrated. The delay in receiving the bill added insult to injury, compounding the disappointment of the subpar meal. By the time the bill finally arrived, our initial enthusiasm for the evening had completely evaporated, replaced by a sense of frustration and a desire to leave. In conclusion, my dining experience at TGI Friday's in ATC was overwhelmingly negative. While the Truffle Bacon Pizza was a standout dish, the excessively salty chicken platter and the frustratingly slow service significantly detracted from the overall experience. The combination of overly seasoned food and inattentive service left a lasting impression, and not a positive one. It's unlikely that I will be returning to this particular TGI Friday's in the near future, and I would hesitate to recommend it to others based on this experience. It's truly disappointing when a restaurant, especially one that is part of a well-known chain, fails to deliver on the basic aspects of a pleasant dining experience: good food and...
Read moreWe had dinner here last weekend and tried their ₱375 All Yours All Day promo—great value! It includes an appetizer, entrée, and iced tea. There were four of us, so we ordered different options to try them all, lol. Our faves were the 6-Spiced Chicken (entrée) and Truffle Potato Crisps (appetizer)—both sooo good and didn’t come with any extra charge, unlike some of the other choices. That said, not a fan of their Grilled Pork Loin cause it was really dry, which was a bit disappointing especially since it had an additional ₱145 on top of the promo price. Hoping they could improve that tho. Loved the Truffle Bacon & Mushroom thin crust pizza! The carbonara was okay, though I would’ve gone for their truffle pasta if I had noticed it on the menu.
Nice touch that they serve free chips too—I think they’re unlimited, but not 100% sure hehe.
Service was okay. It got busy fast, and while the staff was great, they didn’t repeat the orders, which led to a small mix-up (though it was quickly fixed). Just something to note, especially for those who might not be comfortable speaking up when they receive the wrong order.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for casual dinners with a bit of a sports bar vibe—fun place...
Read moreWe celebrated my nephew’s birthday and had a great time with all the food. As usual (since we are regulars) food was delicious and servers were all very attentive. Rence and Zarah were the ones always attending to our table. The staff were all cheerful and courteous. Rence was extra nice and fun. Their special happy birthday song was enjoyable to listen to especially because “baby give it up” is one of our family’s favorite songs now due to Tiktok. They also gave us a cute little TGIF car which we found so cute. My son loved it and even started playing with it when we finished the chicken fingers. Bucket of bones was the best out of all that we ordered. The riblets in that combo was sooo good and wow garlic rice has never tasted so good. My parents who were seniors just found it difficult to go with the times checking out the digital menu. Food took a bit longer than usual to arrive but it was packed and so I guess it’s understandable. Oreo and the mud pie are still my favorite. Yum as ever! Forgot to try their new salted caramel cake shucks . Well I guess that means we’ll just have to...
