REVIEW UPDATE:
Still the best cheese pizza (Quatro Formaggi) I had
Not exaggerating this one, but their Quatro Formaggi pizza was really delicious. Easy five-star rating. However, their carbonara wasn’t really the Italian style carbonara I expected; it’s too saucy and tasted like a Filipino carbonara you can cook with an instant noodles. And yes, I have eaten lots of authentic Italian carbonara so I know my pasta game. It’s not bad, but it wasn’t really good, either.
But again, their pizza was the real damn deal.
Another item that I liked was the complementary bread. Yeap, you read it right, the complementary bread was damn good. I could eat those with any spread and never get full. LOL.
Anyways, if it wasn’t for the carbonara, I’d gave it an easy five-star. But yeap, I’m looking forward to another meal here. Good dining experience, nonetheless.
The update:
We had the cheesy baked macaroni, and I gotta be honest, it’s not as cheesy as I was expecting it to be, but it was still good. It really depends on one’s tastebuds anyways, but I like my cheesy baked mac, really damn cheesy.
The Spinach Ravioli (stuffed with blue cheese), though, was great. I really like blue cheese, so that was an easy five-star rating. And of course, we had the Quatro Formaggi, anew, and obviously, it was phenomenal.
The service
The service was good, nothing too exceptional, but good old standard service, BUT, we saw a foreigner who went in the restaurant and then immediately left after he noticed that the table he was assigned to was wiggling due to uneven table stands — the crew tried to fix the issue by placing stacked tissue papers to even the table. Didn’t work obviously, hence why the foreign customer left. It seemed not a big deal, but to be honest, it’s annoying when you’re eating in an uneven table. So, yeah, maybe the management can fix this kind of “small” issue.
Overall, it’s still a good...
Read moreThere's no question about the food; it was great and tasted right for it's value.
However, we went there to dine and celebrate my birthday last August 17, 2025. Around lunch time. This branch is pet friendly, but only allows diners with pets in their al fresco area. Sadly, service was slow, the staff weren't so lively in their service when it comes to taking the order and serving the food (which took about 30 mins), and their response time to the calling bell is so slow and untimely. To the point that asking for service water took around 20 minutes and was not automatic. Given that we were al fresco diners, courtesy of serving water should be automatic and first.
Also, their birthday promo is not available at the time, and their beef dishes weren't available, so we weren't able to experience to full value of celebrating at Mama Lou's. We wanted to try the rib eye steak, but it wasn't available. That's the reason for the low rating in service and atmosphere. Maybe this is an isolated case, but I hope they can improve on this and maintain good service for both indoor and al...
Read moreLet me start this review Anne i think was not having a good day or.probably tired. Its around 9 pm and it looks like everyone was overwhelmed with the amount of people coming inn.and everyone was reDy to go home . I understand its a weekend 😌 But i would say this is probably one of the most in consistent service i ever had, First salad was serve and two of our friends didnt have cutlery second we order ice tea didnt even bother to give us glass for the ice tea, 3rd we have to ask for plate for our main, 4th i order some cocktails and they serve apperol spritz warm, a basic italian cocktail. If youre not sure you can use google. 5th a complimentary bread should be serve prior to our meal and nothing was given to us we have to ask one ov the server to bring us some bread. Lastly the most disgusting washroom i ever seen used toilet paper are on the floor, i am just wondering is there any manager working? It is disappointing when basic knowledge in service was not even met. They should train their staff on service and how to make their own cocktails.I usually tip good when the...
