Kimono Ken | Met Live — Restaurant in Pasay

This is my favorite restaurant and branch as well and I always have the best food experience and customer service. Apparently, today while dining in, the “manager” in charged started yelling at the staff while there are customers around and we can clearly hear her words such as “wala akong pakelam!! Mga siraulo kayo!! Pag ako andito, Raratratan ko tlaga kayo! And even “halika dito, sasampalin kita”. It’s very unprofessional for both subordinates and the customers who just want to enjoy the food (nakakawala talaga ng gana). I understand how hard the people management is but i believe that there’s a proper way, venue and comms on how to reprimand people. I will still definitely go back to my fave resto (the food is the best) but I wish she’s not on duty...

This WAS supposed to be my favorite japanese restaurant because of the food and value for money. I just had a BAD service experience the last time I visited. I placed an advance order through their contact number. The girl I talked to was very nice but when we got there no one entertained us so I asked for the girl whom I talked earlier. She started making excuses like we were late so she needs to reheat our order. I told her we were not late and we were seated for 15 minutes already. I asked her again if she forgot to prepare our order and she said YES. Then came the store manager making the scene that it was our fault. I told her to stop blaming us because they acknowledged my call that I can place an advance order and accept that they did not...

We decided to have lunch at Kimono Ken located at The MET today for a post birthday celebration for my daughter. Among the items we ordered, I had Chahan - special Japanese rice. I would like to say that this alone can satisfy my hunger. It is truly delicious and satisfying. I also tried the Agedashi Tofu. It is fried tofu with teriyaki sauce. Sadly, I did not enjoy it. The tofu is very soft - it is as if I am eating "taho" minus the sugar syrup. The teriyaki sauce did not do much for the tofu. Some good points: A. The servers are nice and often smile. B.
