Sunday, June 15 at 6 PM for Father’s Day, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
We specifically chose the restaurant because of the Unli Steak promo menu we saw online. It included sides like Buffalo chicken poppers, truffle mac and cheese, elote, and pumpkin soup—exactly what made us decide to celebrate here. But when we arrived, none of those sides were available.
We raised this with the assistant manager, who said the menu had changed the day before. When we asked if the update had been posted online, he said yes. We checked their Instagram and found no mention of the sides being changed, only that salmon had been added. When we showed this to him, he just repeated that the change had been made. I included pictures of the sides offered on the site and the actual sides offered. I also included the Instagram post “update”.
What made things worse was how the assistant manager handled it. I asked to switch to ala carte since I didn’t like the new sides, and he replied, “Okay, I’ll ALLOW you to do that,” then repeated it in Tagalog, “Pagbibigyan ko po yan.” The tone was condescending and dismissive, and he kept repeating the phrase without any apology or understanding.
The rest of our group went ahead with the Unli Steak, but the experience didn’t improve. The steak doneness was inconsistent, the service was subpar, and one server was even wearing a snapback cap, which didn’t feel appropriate for the setting.
We were really looking forward to this meal, and it was upsetting to feel misled by the menu and dismissed when we brought it up. We expected more from a place like One World Deli, especially on a special occasion like Father’s Day.
If I were to commend anything, I liked the...

The first steak arrived within a few minutes. While it was decent, we noticed it was much leaner than what we were expecting. Shortly after, a second steak was served — larger in size but even leaner. It was tough to cut, difficult to chew, and lacked the flavor that usually comes from a well-prepared steak. Although the charcoal-grilled aroma was there, overall it hard to enjoy.
The buffet selection was also underwhelming. Online, we had seen videos suggesting a wide variety, but in reality, the spread was limited to one soup, a small salad bar, steak rice, mashed potatoes, two types of maki, vegetables, and pork belly — which turned out to be dry and bland. The highlight, which should have been the steak, felt more like an afterthought than the star of the meal.
When we asked about the cuts available, we were told sirloin was the only option, which explained the lack of variety, quality, and tenderness. At that point, we honestly felt ready to settle the bill without finishing.
I guess only the panna cotta was ok. While served simply in small plastic cups without presentation at all, it was tasty and gave a refreshing end to an otherwise disappointing dining experience.
Overall, while the promo sounded great on paper, the food quality and buffet variety fell short.
Honestly, dont even try. Just use your...
Read moreThe food tasted okay but not recommended if you are looking after their steak “buffet”.
There is not much choice to be called as buffet. Their dishes are cold and dry. And most importantly, the doneness of the steak is terrible.
I have ordered “well-done” a total of four times, and all of them came bloody. The last time I asked for steak, I had even emphasized that please cook it well, as the previous ones all came bloody (while showing the waitress the steak).
The biggest problem with this place is their service. We do not have reservation, hence, we actually confirm with them first if they accept walk-in, to which they say yes.
As per our agreement, the buffet is for two hours, but they are forcing us to finish it 15 minutes prior as they have to clean the table for their next guest.
They also kept coming to us reminding the time is up when it is not yet “15 mins” before 2 hours.
Furthermore, by the time they reminded, I had already requested bill out. My credit card is with them, and it was also them requesting us to “wait for the receipt”.
Not to say that during our dining session, the waiters and waitresses were talking within themselves while looking at us. They were friendly to the customers who dressed nicely/formally, but treated us differently. Is it because we have dressed casually for a simple lunch at your place? Is this simply...
