Sorry to say but the lechon (the main reason why we came for) was so lousy. Cold. Dry. Tasted stale. Skin not crispy. The skin was obviously forced to heat. But failed. Hard to chew and majority were bones covered with meat on top.
This frustrates me and my cousin from US and my whole family sooo much as we’ve literally been away from the PH and been craving for this dish for 4 years because of the pandemic and did the first thing when we arrived but this is what we've got. I was expecting Lechon from the Philippines to blow my mind, I haven’t tried it for a long time but as far as I know, lechon is meant to be crispy.
The meat was not tender, and for a 1 kg serving, we only received 5 pieces of skin. We even ordered 3 kg but was forced to cancel one ordee for such reason. The silver lining was that they were rubbery. The staff who was preparing the lechon was as well not convinced that it isnt crispy at all! Not fresh. Part of the meat was even uncooked.
The saving grace was the pancit bihon, bulalo and the crispy pata that we tried from MOA branch.
Additionally, when the renowned lechon came in, I still have to ask them for the sauce/sarsa. We ordered 3 kg of lechon and gave only a saucer of sarsa! I don't know the protocol in your restaurant but I thought that's automatic if you got lechon on your table. You will have to ask for each of the things you will need one by one because they lack customer service and consideration for their customers.
Poor customer treatment experience from the supervisor himself. He is not approachable. Their customers at that time is not even massive yet the way he ignored us when we politely asked to raise our concern but he did not show up. Kudos to MR GRAY who tried his best to explain everything and try to save the image of the restaurant. Staffs like him should be recognised, unlike the SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER who do not have the balls to even talk to the customers who would like to raise an issue that could be improved. Worse service ive had in a while. Shame on the management
On a lighter side, the food was great. Just except for the lechon and the manager.
Maybe we expected too much. D The next time i will crave for lechon, i will look for the nearest Lydia's or Mila’s lechon.
I hope the management could address issues that I've seen and would like to try to dine in there...
Read moreThe waiters are the absolute worst! We entered not knowing they did not want to serve anymore. Here is why:
Food was mediocre. The lechon paksiw we ordered tasted like a 25pesos food you can get in a cheap carinderia. No meat, just leftover fat from lechon and chewy skin. It was microwaved left over in the fridge for days. The inasal was dry. 300 pesos for one tiny peace. Mang Inasal can give you a better deal for half the price. Prepare for a dental treatment when you eat their pebble rice.

Read moreReally unhappy with how inattentive the staff was. I don’t review restaurants often, but the service was so bad, I had to. Whenever we’d call a waiter/waitress to our attention, it seems na nag papasahan sila on who will address our request.
We asked for what desserts they had and for their menu, and the lady pointed to a small poster and grunted things we couldn’t understand and seemed annoyed when we asked again for the menu. Instead of handing it to us properly (Faye, the waitress’ name), just flung the menu.
They avoided us as if we were sick, never checked if our food was complete and charged the missing item on our bill. What makes it more annoying is that they weren’t even 10% full. Only 3 tables were occupied out of approximately at least 30-40 other tables.
The list of what’s wrong goes on as we noticed the bottom of our glasses (5 of us) had mould. We brought this to the attention of the staff who shrugged us off.
When they served us our Kansi, they pushed it hard to the middle of our table, causing it to spill, but they didn’t care.
I don’t recommend anyone to eat here even if the food is okay. I’m sure you’ll get better...
