Rating would be 3.5/5 if there was a 0.5 stars. It's okay, but in comparison with other restaurants at the same price point or a bit lower, it wasn't as good. The prices are expensive, I uploaded the menu and updated prices as of 01/31/23 in the photos. I ordered 2 things: 1) Sunigomo (chicken gizzard) - Price: 100 pesos - It tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all - The charring of the meat wasn't enough - So overall it lacked taste and was not worth it 2) Tenzaru Soba (Tempura and cold soba) - Price: 550 - The tempura was good with the batter crispy and the prawn tasting strong. It also came with an eggplant tempura and it was good too. - The soba noodles were the usual - The sauce was the disappointment. You could barely taste anything and it felt so watered down. There was no hint of saltiness at all and just had a light sweetness to it. I don't usually put a lot of wasabi, but I used 3/4 of what is in the photo to have a sauce with some taste. So with that I would rate the food at 3 and only the tempura made it a 3.5 for me. Considering the price, I expected a more flavor and a higher standard. But in comparison to other high end japanese restaurants, it felt below that standard. But I'd like to give kudos to the service. It was very quick. The servers were also friendly and made me feel welcome. They offer free tea as well. It was a good experience with the servers ^_^

Food is actually quite good. They have a good variety of dishes and they're all made well. The problem is their service is atrocious. It seems like their front of house and kitchen can't seem to coordinate. Dishes like sashimi and soup were served very late, coinciding with the main courses. And they also forgot or took too long to serve some dishes. The wait staff was really inattentive. Just generally bad service that really soured my experience here. And to think the restaurant wasn't even full when we were dining there. It's a real shame because the actual food is good, if not for the abysmal service. Atmosphere was decent, very clean and minimalist Japanese style. Overall I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of other Japanese restaurants that will serve you better. Disappointing visit for me.

Price did not justify the food quality. - The norwegian salmon sashimi was not as fresh and fatty as other premium Japanese restaurants - The curry beef i ordered was overcooked and usda beef was dry. They served thinly sliced beef instead of beef cubes as mentioned in the menu. Again, I can get better quality curry beef at that P550 price point in other Japanese restaurants - Oysters were fat and juicy but the sauce was not as good as what we ate in Marufuku before. It tasted flat. Not good for P880 - California maki was ordinary and boring - Gyoza was the only good and value for money item we ordered. It was meaty and Tasty and ok price Restaurant lost its wow factor. Hope they bring back marufuku dishes and prices Also, they only have 2 slots of free parking

Food is bad. Sushi looked so old I sent it back. I was afraid i would get sick. The salmon looked old and dry and the tuna looked stale. The unagi was served cold with cold sauce on top. Everwhere else in the world unagi is served warm. Somehiw the chef did not know this as they tried to explain that sushi is served cold.

No water served and hard to get attention of staff. The were all smoking and joking in the kitchen laughing and there was another room were everyone else was sleeping. There were literally 20 plus people working there doing nothing.

Our tempura order arrived. It was ok. But not to justify 950 pesos . And the veggies were over fried and greasy.

This place is nasty. And very expensive. About a million people standing around but bad service. 👎

Last time I came about 6 months ago we had a great experience here. That's the only reason we came back. We were very disappointed this time.

I feel bad for the owners who must be loosing a lot of money and soon their restaurant will close. It should be shut down. It's a disgrace to...

Bad service. Very inattentive waiters for such a high end place. To think there were 14 of us in a long table, and the place is almost empty. Four waiters are just slumped by the kitchen, no one looking around to see our raised hands. They have service tea but I had to request for it.

Then it gets worse. They could not serve softdrinks because they had no ice yet. Someone had to run to buy. By then, they have run out of Coke zero. What kind of management is this? Weekend lunch and they Miss these things?

Then the biggest bummer. We ordered ebi tempura and the waiter apparently wrote ebi teppanyaki on his slip. So teppanyaki came, no tempura. Sleepy order taker?

As for taste and price, the tonkatsus are severely overpriced at P800 but bland. The good meat’s flavor was not teaser out at all. The only remarkable one may be the oyster, the rest, fast food levels. Even the sashimi is drab, like days old. Not the flavorful ones, considering its P2000 price for basic. Nothing to make this meal satisfying. Maybe...
