Basil is such a delightful dining spot that brings together authentic Thai flavors, fresh ingredients, and a beautiful Asian-inspired ambiance. From the moment you step in, the interiors immediately transport you to a warm, inviting space with its stylish Asian touches that set the perfect mood for a relaxing meal. The food was absolutely delicious. The shrimp fried rice was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned—comforting and satisfying in every bite. The grilled squid and prawns were another highlight, cooked just right with that smoky, tender goodness that makes you want to order seconds. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, staying true to the vibrant flavors of authentic Thai cuisine. To balance it all out, the refreshing coconut was the perfect drink—naturally sweet, cooling, and the best way to complement the savory dishes. It added to the tropical, relaxed feel of the whole experience. What makes Basil even more special is how it combines quality food with an atmosphere that’s both elegant and cozy. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a casual meal with friends or have a more intimate dinner and still feel the same warmth. If you’re craving authentic Thai dishes in a setting that feels both stylish and inviting, Basil is definitely worth a visit. It’s a restaurant that makes you want to come back for both the flavors and the experience.

Came back from a trip to Bangkok 2 weeks ago, so I was really craving for Thai food when I happened to be in Podium. Instead of Greyhound, I went here instead. Overall, if you’re looking for the spiciness and heat of the Thai food when you’re in Thailand, you’d have to ask more chili here in general when you’re in the Philippines. Understandably so because it’s for the Filipino palette. Ate alone when I was here. 1. Papaya Salad - serving is a lot. Again, request for more chili if you want it spicier. 2. Thai Milk Tea - I wish I was sweeter so I can add more ice and the drink can last longer, but it was not that sweet so I drank it fast. 3. Tom Yum - Again, my basis of this comment was my trip in Bangkok 2 weeks ago where I would have Tom Yum almost every day, in an ordinary restaurant or in a more street type resto. Sadly, the « sahog » in Basil lacked. I understand seafood might be more expensive in Manila, but they could have added mushrooms. All Tom Yums I had in Bangkok had mushrooms. And there were a minimum of 6 shrimps hahaha Overall, I don’t think I would eat here again if I’m alone because it’s also quite expensive. But would eat here again with my family to try the other dishes since their servings are a lot.

The ambience is warm, elegant, and tranquil with a refined Southeast Asian charm. The setting strikes a balance between traditional Thai decor and contemporary dining elegance. The place accommodates over 60 pax. Staff are courteous and attentive. The dishes arrived within 15 minutes. The Beef Curry is rich and flavorful. It also has a combination of creamy, spicy, slightly sweet, and deeply aromatic flavors. The pineapple chunks provide a subtle sweetness and acidity that contrast beautifully with the savory elements. The beef is tender and blends well with the curry's natural richness. The Shrimp Fried Rice is well-seasoned and served with fresh shrimp and vegetables. It was savory and satisfying. The Crispy Salted Calamari stands out for its light breading and well-balanced saltiness. The squid is tender and portions are generous with minimal air pockets inside the breading. Above mentioned dishes serve 2–3 pax. Each dish offers excellent value for price. The restaurant delivers both in flavor and dining comfort. Definitely worth a visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Basil Podium, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant not only boasts delicious Thai cuisine but also provides outstanding service that truly elevates the dining experience.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by the attentive staff. Our server, Kiel, stood out with his friendly demeanor and thorough knowledge of the menu. He patiently guided us through the extensive array of Thai dishes, offering insightful recommendations tailored to our tastes.

For appetizers, we started with the crispy spring rolls and the flavorful tom yum soup, both of which were bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The main courses were equally impressive; the pad thai noodles were perfectly cooked and balanced in flavors, while the green curry had just the right amount of spice, leaving a delightful lingering taste.

Throughout the meal, Kiel ensured that we had everything we needed, checking in at appropriate intervals without being intrusive. His professionalism and enthusiasm for the cuisine added to our enjoyment, making us feel valued and well-cared for.

The ambiance of Basil Podium is cozy yet vibrant, ideal for both intimate dinners and gatherings with friends. The attention to detail in both decor and service reflects a commitment to creating a memorable dining experience.

In conclusion, Basil Podium not only excels in serving authentic Thai food but also sets a high standard in customer service. Kiel, our server, played a crucial role in enhancing our visit with his impeccable service and genuine passion for Thai cuisine. I highly recommend Basil Podium to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience that combines delicious food with exceptional service.
