Hai Chix is a place where you can enjoy good food with friends. You can feel the intensity of every conversation from every table. It's nice being surrounded other groups of people having fun as well. Ambiance is decent and definitely made for casual dates.

The food we ordered were all to share, but the portions were on the smaller side so be prepared to order more than you anticipated. Despite that, the food was nonetheless above average. We ordered the buy one, take one 700g steak, 3 fish and chips, truffle pasta, clam seafood pasta, and the hainanese chicken with cilantro rice.

The only qualms I had were that while the fish was and fries were fresh, they were too oily. The fries were also undercooked. My girlfriend on the otherhand, was disappointed with the hainanese chicken. While it was delicious (for me), it was not a traditional hainanese chicken nor did they mention that it would be fried instead of poached. Lastly, the clam seafood was as average as it gets.

Service was a bit slow and they seemed a bit understaffed but the waiters and manager were kind enough to prepare our birthday cake (no corkage fee!).

Hai Chix is definitely high on my list of favorite steak spots.

The branch at Home Depot is simple and casual—so simple, in fact, that you might not expect it to serve steak with this level of quality and flavor.

We tried both the Ribeye and Porterhouse, and they were a knockout in terms of flavor, texture, and presentation. Steaks are served on a sizzling hot plate with onion rings and French beans. Each order also comes with steak rice and your choice of mashed potatoes or fries. On a good day, I think I could finish a 700g plate on my own—that’s how good it was.

Just like in their BGC branch, they also offer pastries and coffee from Cooper’s, which is a nice bonus.

I also tried their truffle pasta, and I highly recommend it. It’s creamy, flavorful, and the truffle taste is just right—not too overpowering.

I ended my meal with a slice of chocolate truffle cake—sweet, moist, and delicious, but something I could probably skip next time.
