Boudica Café Bar - CityGolf Plaza — Restaurant in Pasig

I'm changing my review of this bar. We were once patrons and heavy word of mouth promoters of this bar.

Sadly, in an unexpected turn of events, in one of our many hangouts in Boudica, we experienced HORRENDOUS, TERRIBLE, and UNCALLED for treatment by their staff and manager.

It was a very busy night then for Boudica, so we seated ourselves in their bar. As we drank merrily, we would order a beer bottle each after finishing our previous one. Logically, since, it was a busy day for Boudica, our orders were always delayed. So we had to keep following them up.

After consuming our desired share of alcohol, we decided to bill out as usual. To our HORROR, our bill stated that we consumed at least an extra seven(7) beer bottles on top of our own count! We decided to appeal to our waiter that this was a huge error. The waiter, after consulting with the cashier, returned to us stating that the initial bill was correct. We then appealed to their manager, who knew us well as repeat customers. He too insisted the bill was correct! :(((

We made it clear to the manager, that in all our patronage of Boudica, we never once lied about our bill. And if they insist, we can pay for THEIR error. But what mattered to us then, which matters to us still now, HENCE WHY WE HAVE NEVER RETURNED, is what is right from what is wrong.

The logical reason for what happened was simple. Through their own delays and forgetfulness during that busy night, they would DOUBLE, sometimes TRIPLE punch some of our follow ups into NEW ORDERS. Sadly, none of their staff and manager took responsibility for this. Instead, they accused us of cheating them.

To end the issue, we decided to leave our phone number for their accounting of beer bottles we consumed. We told them simply, if they're able to account that we indeed consumed an extra 7 beers on top of our own count, then we'd gladly pay for these through bank transfer. All they had to do was message or call us upon their accounting, if this was the case. As of today, they haven't called or reached out to us on this.

Anyway, buh-bye Boudica. It was good while...

Me and my friends just dined here last night! Thinking that its a weekday and it might be lean so i did not bother to make any reservations but lo and behold we had to wait for more than 30 mins for a table! It was that packed! Altho the whole dinning experience made up for the wait. the service was excellent, the ambiance was great and of course the food was good!

We ordered the steak, pizza and the truffle pasta, although classic menu dishes but i would say they took it up a notch by adding a bit of a twist to it like the pizza. They drizzled it with some sort of a balsamic sauce thingy then they had a side of honey so when you bite into it there’s this taste of sweet and sour thing going on plus the saltyness of the prosciutto. It was foodgasmic. But most importabtly the portions are bigger than usual. Medjo exagg sa portions ah! But well given the price range i guess it is justifiable. Who am i to complain 🤷🏻‍♀️
