If you have to order only one thing in this restaurant, I highly recommend the Suman a la Hasset. It’s a dessert, but it could very well be the highlight of your meal. It is sticky rice, ube halaya, and leche flan rolled into one (literally speaking) with vanilla ice cream and meringue bits on the side, topped with coconut sugar sauce. I also ordered the Vietnamese braised pork belly, which was unbelievably fork tender. I had gyoza as appetizer, but you can skip ordering any appetizer and just enjoy their complementary kropek. We had Seafood Laksa, Bicol Express Dip and Mutasa (the best), and BBQ Lemongrass Chicken. All so good. Highly recommended. The time the food came out was also very fast. The staff was very attentive and served with a smile. The ambiance is so relaxing and I love the humorous little signs. I'm glad we took a chance to dine here at James & Daughters.
