Hello, i want to share an honest review because i grew up eating in seven corners since i was a child. The food was really good before pandemic, but after when management/head chef changed, (i forgot which one it was) theres just been so many things to improve on. I ate in seven corners yesterday and i just wanted to report that i saw a cockroach in the cheese area. Last time i went twice last year there were also 1-2 cockroaches in the same area. I reported it pero same parin. before the pandemic wala naman. just want to suggest pest control po kasi super important ang sanitation more than food taste. In terms of food, They used to cut the steak in front of you to make sure fresh, now they insist to use the stored precut meat kasi “pareho lang” daw. They used to have cocktail sauce for the shrimp, but now dont even know what that is. The salmon sashimi had tinik. Ice-cream used to have more unique natural flavors like pistachio and blueberry made tepanyaki style, desserts even had crèmebrule. the chefs behind the buffet seemed a bit more hesitant to serve you which is strange for a buffet, and the food like salad crutons and breads became more makunat. My family keeps visiting because we always give it a chance incase it changes and becomes as great as it used to be, but so far it hasnt been competitive. pls consider these points of improvement because we love seven corners.

Not the best nor the most extensive buffet spread acround but the food is okay. The cold shrimps were super fresh. Very supple and sweet. The bibingka was addictive. The steak was good as long as you made sure you had it cooked properly. I ordered medium well and parts of it was rare. Paella was laughable. It tasted like rice with food coloring. They also had tempura but you had to ask for it. It was like they were trying to hide it from customers. They were also the smallest hotel tempura I've ever seen. Maybe just 3 inches at the most. They were ok though. It was just weird how they presented (not) them. The Indian food section occupies too much space. With their limited offerings, they should have eliminated Indian food totally. Not a lot of people really go for it. They had Curacha but I don't think they were very fresh. The tahong ang talaba were though. Pizza was good. Caesar salad was good. Servers were hard to get ahold of. The only good part was there weren't a lot of people on a Saturday night. The place was ok. The area leading to the entrance was extremely hot though. Why would there be an area like that in a hotel? It seems like it's been like that for years.

We had dinner in 7 Corners on May 30, 2025 to celebrate my birthday. We went there also on May 9, 2025 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and numerous times before that since we were happy with the buffet selection.

Sadly, during our most recent visit (May 30), I had a very disheartening experience. I asked for my shrimps to be cooked gambas-style with butter and garlic, so naturally, I requested the chef to have the shrimps peeled. I have always had my shrimps cooked this way in 7 Corners. Surprisingly, the chef-on-duty in the seafood station gave me a snide reply that they do not peel the shrimps. Actually, I only followed the lead of my wife and daughter who just had their shrimps peeled and cooked in that manner a few minutes ahead of me, so I was surprised that my request was turned down. This was my very first serving so I kindly asked the chef again and mentioned that my wife and daughter just had their shrimps peeled and cooked that way. He repeated, “Hindi po kami nagbabalat.” Again, I made a third request saying, “Baka naman pwede ito lang serving na nakuha ko?”. Again, he declined. So as not to ruin my night and my birthday, I gave in and just waited for my “unpeeled” serving of gambas and went back to my seat. At about the same time, my wife stood up to get another serving of shrimps and made the same request to the chef. When she went back to her seat, I asked, “Pumayag sa iyo na balatan?” Surprised, she replied, “Oo. Bakit?”. This really ticked me off so I stood up and confronted your chef about it. I said “Bakit sa akin hindi pwede pero sa iba pwede?”. I asked for the chef’s full name and complained to your waiter’s manager/supervisor about this, as well. All I got was a “Sorry po”. Unfortunately, both my birthday and night ended in disappointment. I completely lost my appetite after...

quality of food - 1 no butter for bread. seriously?

seafood not fresh. even when cooked in butter, smelled and tasted really unfresh and "bilasa". the shrimp was soggy!

there was a whole roast ribeye on display, but it was untouched for the entire duration of the dinner. the ribeye that they grilled were pre-sliced and raw, and from a different container. i wonder how long the untouched whole ribeye was on display and how long it will continue to be on display.

the buffet spread looked pitiful. when we came in, i saw 3 pcs of samosa (or something similar) in the chafing dish. it looked pale and sad. when we left, they were still untouched. nobody went near that section because the food and the presentation were not enticing. vegetable and fish tempura were not even warm, at the least. the salmon sashimi were nowhere in sight. much later, one server told me that salmon sashimi are served upon request. how will people know that you have salmon if they were hidden somewhere diners cannot see???

when we arrived, as what we usually did for the past 10 years or so, i ordered four cheese pizza for our table. the staff behind the counter refused because he said that new pizzas can only be made if there are no more pizzas on display. the ones on display are margherita and one other. i told the staff that pizzas are included in the all-you-can-eat buffet and our preferred flavor is not on display. he still refused and said that he will be reprimanded if he bakes a new one for us. first time this happened and i was very disappointed.

and to end the depressing and unsatisfying meal, the coffee was bland.

the reason for the 1 star is the laksa soup. it was good. nonetheless, it's not even worth the money and travel time from manila.

we used to be regulars....

I dined with my nieces here for a breakfast buffet after attending a homecoming event the night before at the Main Ballroom. It was a regular Sunday. We went down to the restaurant about 9AM and some of the dishes need to be refilled at that time. Prompted some resto staff for those needing refills - I did this 2x and I felt they should have the initiative to check on this, more so that they know that there's 1 more hour to go and more people are still coming in. Saw some guests, too, from the event and since this event ended quite late/early morning of Sun, of course, some guests came in late for the breakfast.

The spread was alright, although I feel that they could have added more Filipino fare like beef tapa, longganisa, danggit, etc. I have thought of asking or requesting it the day before but since I was quite tied-up preparing for the event - I forgot all about it. I enjoyed the breads and taho, too. Salmon was good as well! I could have eaten more but the yang chow friend rice took a while before it had been replenished. They need to improve on this aspect. I ate more breads instead which were readily available. Waitstaff were OK, except that I am expecting that they should be more attentive, proactive and have initiative. Don't wait to be reminded to bus out dishes, refill, etc. Those are already given or "musts!"

But all in all, a pretty nice experience and food is good and varied, there is a little of everything but hopefully, they can check and improve on the...
