Ramen Nagi at Robinsons Galleria offers a solid ramen experience, and their "Premium Butao with a Royal twist" is definitely one for the books. If you’re looking to treat yourself, this bowl is a game-changer. It’s got that rich tonkotsu broth you expect from Ramen Nagi, but with the added luxury of foie gras and truffles. The foie gras melts into the broth, making it extra creamy and rich, while the truffles add a fancy touch. It’s a bold dish, though, and some people find it a bit too much if they’re not into super rich flavors. Like with their standard Butao King, the broth is thick, flavorful, and packed with umami. In the premium version, it’s even more decadent thanks to the foie gras, but it might feel a bit too heavy for those who prefer lighter ramen. The toppings are what really set this dish apart. The foie gras is smooth and rich, and the truffle oil gives the whole thing a gourmet vibe. That said, some folks feel like the portion sizes for these premium ingredients could be a bit bigger for what you’re paying. Speaking of paying, this one’s definitely on the pricier side. It’s a special treat kind of meal, and while it’s worth it for fans of foie gras and truffles, others might think it’s a little steep for a bowl of ramen. Overall, the Premium Butao with a Royal twist is perfect if you’re feeling fancy and want to try something out of the ordinary. It’s a rich, indulgent bowl that’s best suited for those who are into bold, gourmet flavors, but maybe not for everyone if you’re just after a...
Read moreBad service. Mall closing time is at 10pm and we were at the restaurant 5mins before 9pm. We were waiting for the lady in the front desk to assist us or just point us to an available seat but she was too busy tidying up. We had to call her attention and she just said, cge ma'am pasok lang kayo, hanap kayo ng upuan. We've been to other branches and usually they welcome and escort you to a seat but I guess the robinsons branch doesn't need to do it as it was near closing time? Staff was tired?. Anyways, no big deal. We chose a seat, 4 of us in total. There were other customers at that time, 3 tables were occupied and we're the fourth. There were two staff members that were cleaning and I guess packing up other seats near our table that didn't pay attention to us. We sat there patiently for about 5mins as I thought it was their SOP to assist/approach customers but not on this branch. My mom was getting impatient since it was like the staff was more concerned on closing shop than assisting customers so I got one of the staff's attention. It was at this time I got irritated since the staff's demeanor wasn't welcoming, like I interrupted what he was doing. So I asked, di ba 10pm po closing time nyo? 9:08pm lang po kasi pero parang isasara na yung resto at uwing uwi na mga staff. When he plainly answered, ganun talaga ma'am. I just looked at my mom and sisters, told them hanap na lang tayo ng iba. The staff just stood there, no apologies. Anyways, use your hard earned money elsewhere. Go to other branch with...
Read moreOrdered the Black king for the wife and Butao King ramen for me. Whenever i go to a ramen place, I always try out a tonkotsu ramen first to compare it to other ramen restaurants I've been to (New Jersey, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and Manila).
We also ordered curry spring rolls - the taste and texture reminds me of Singapore's curry puffs - fried pastry puffs filles with potatoes and curry. The taste are very similar but I like the pasty puffs more.
The tonkotsu ramen no doubt tastes like a tonkotsu ramen out to be. There is nothing particularly special about Nagi's buy there's nothing bad about it as well. There's no onsen tamago included and you have to pay extra for me a ramen without an egg is not complete. However, they have a lot of meat. Their tonkotsu ramen almost tastes like Santouka's famous crowd-pulling ramen (Mitsuwa Supermarket Edgewater New Jersey). That said Santouka's is a little bit better.
The Black King ramen is really different! I've never tasted anything like it. The squid taste is really strong. It's good but I personally don't like it that much. Though next time I'd like to try out their fusion inspired ramen - the Midori King which seems to be Italian inspired fusion as it a mix of olive oil and fresh basil with parmessan (pesto?!) and chashu.
All condiments you need for your ramen is there - sesame seeds, togarashi,...
