⭐ 1 Star – Only for the Baked Scallop!
11 October 2025 7:00-9:00pm
We had dinner at Teppanya SM North Towers and got the ₱1,988+ Deluxe Dinner package with unlimited drinks and desserts. Honestly, it was a huge disappointment.
Each table gets only 2 hours, but because of their slow and disorganized service, most of that time was wasted waiting — not eating.
Our food started arriving (in trickles) around 7:30 PM, and for the first hour, I only got the baked scallop (which was the only good thing all night) and a too-sweet cucumber lemonade. Even plain water took several follow-ups to arrive! I had to personally complain before they sent another waiter to handle our table.
Here’s all I got to eat in 2 hours: 🍴 Miso soup 🍴 2 rounds of Baked scallop (delicious, worth a star) 🍴 Smoked salmon salad 🍴 Salmon head Teriyaki 🍴 Small serving of 2 steaks - Brazilian Tenderloin, Aus Black Angus Oyster Blade (the chef sliced it without asking 🙄 I prefer to have it whole and slice it myself) 🍴 One piece of river prawn (cooked last) 🍴 1 round of Banana flambé for dessert- which came without a spoon, and I had to wait another 15 minutes to get one
To make things worse, they served us two dishes we didn’t even order.
Yes, it was a Saturday night and the place was full, but that’s not an excuse for this level of service. My companions, who are steak lovers, were utterly disappointed- the steak quality was so-so; you can easily find better steak at other restaurants.
💡 Tip if you still plan to eat here: Study their menu, list down all the most expensive dishes, and give the list to your waiter right away. Otherwise, you’ll end up wasting your 2-hour limit waiting for food you won’t even enjoy. 🤔Better not ask the waiter for recommendations; they usually push the cheaper, regular items.
For ₱1,988, you can definitely find many better restaurants that serve tastier steak, faster service, and a more satisfying experience.
⭐ My rating: 1 star - only for the baked scallop. Everything else was a letdown for me. My niece likes the Usuyaki Beef Roll.
🔥 At any teppanyaki restaurant, diners should ask themselves whether they’re paying for a lively hibachi show or for a well-prepared meal with quality service… ideally, it...

We had the Standard 5 Course set for P488: C1 Stir fried veggie - it was so so Kani Salad - it was good
C2 Usuyaki Beef & Angus Beef Tataki - I cant remember which one is the 3 thin slices of beef on the photo but it was so good. The other one was ok, very garlicky, I think the fillings were all garlic
C3 Miso soup - good Clam soup - I liked this a lot
C4 Chahan - very buttery so super bet
C5 Banana Flambe w/ ice cream - it was okay, my friend preferred this Crepe suzette with mango mint - I couldn’t taste any mint. The crepe flavoring is very sour so the ice cream goes very well
Additional: The real California maki - it was so so
It was funny. On the menu, next to it is just ‘California Maki.’ We had to ask what the difference is. The other one has avocado instead of mango.
Chef would lit a fire so you could take a video. Staff were nice, especially the one who took our order.
At first I was disappointed we were seated far from the chef, but I was relieved when he first lit the grill. It was hot!!! Thank goodness, I don’t...
Read moreBeen to a number of Japanese restaurants, mostly sushi/sashimi bars, donburi joints & ramen shops, and maybe a mix of everything sometimes. Certainly don't remember having actually sat at one with food being cooked right in front of me until this one. This was a great experience. Amazing to watch how the food's cooked live - quite fast, a few tricks from the chef, cut, minced, then served hot and fresh.
Everything tastes quite delicious too. Especially liked that squid teppanyaki. We went there for one of those all-you-can-eat sets at about ₱1500 (I think) per seat. Drinks included (soda or iced tea). Was worth the cost for me.
Be careful when they start that raging fire which begins the cooking process of your/others' orders. It can become intensely hot and bright. You'll be amply warned before they get down to it, and advise you to lean back or shift your chair backwards a bit.
A few plates had broken/chipped edges - as evident in my photos - during that visit. Aren't those a...
