潮汕牛肉火锅 BGC Chaoshan Beef Buffet Hotpot — Restaurant in Taguig

We decided to try something different since our usual spot, Zhenbao at PSE Tower, was unexpectedly closed last Sunday. Opting for Chaoshan, we hoped it would offer a better taste compared to other hotpot places in the area.

Ambiance: Arriving early, we were the second customers of the day. However, we were greeted by a server sipping his coffee near the front door as if waiting for his wife to come home. The overall atmosphere was acceptable, but the sauce area felt a bit cramped.

Service: Unfortunately, the staff, especially the manager, were excessively loud. It felt as though she was shouting, oblivious to the fact that everyone could hear her. When we inquired about the different types of soup bases, she only provided curt responses without properly explaining the options. On the positive side, the servers were attentive and efficient.

Food: The food selection was quite limited, particularly when it came to meat and balls. They only offered frozen beef balls, fresh beef balls, and dumplings, without much variety. It would have been better if they used a meat slicing machine or cut the meat into larger portions.
