Good food for good company--even on a Sunday. It's a fab place to chill--especially since it's in a discreet area (not central BGC!) Happy tummies we had and our pockets didn't complain much either sice it's not as pricey as other spanish restos.
The place reminded me of the time spent in Barcelona what with the tapas and beer. The sangria and wine also paired well with any of the tapas selection.
I especially liked the pulpo and the egglpant tapas (eggplant chips with honey and pepper--weird you might think but it actually worked! =P). My pork-eating friends raved about the stuff that had chorizo on them.
The hummus was... well it wasn't disappointing but they should really nix the mini breadsticks that comes with it--they ruined it for the dish since the sticks were sweet and didn't really match the hummus. We tried it on the bruschetta though--then dipped it in the leftover oil from the garlic squid and chorizo--instant yum. So it's still 5 stars (since there's no 4 1/2 star option =) ) .
The staff even gave us pudding for two of my friends that celebrated their birthdays (I guess they didn't have cake hehe. Hmmm... wish we could've asked for 2 of those though--di na umabot sa akin hehe)
I'll definitely go back to try the Mains...
Read moreGoogle Maps hours are not accurate. When we arrived just after 9pm and were seated we were not informed that the restaurant would be closing at 10pm instead of the 11:30pm listed. We were only told at 9:40 when we had just received our food and drinks. In addition, our server's attitude and service were unwelcoming. We were clearly an inconvenience to her. We just didn't know why until 9:40pm. The food was very good although everything came out at once and was not coursed as tapas traditionally are. The drinks were also good and a very generous pour, however, even when we ordered them a bit later in the meal, we were still not informed of the soon-approaching closing time, which left us very little time to drink them. Fortunately, someone much more approachable and attentive helped us pay and pack things up at the end. With all of the dining options in the BGC area, many of which much more central than Pintxos, business hours should be listed correctly and service...
Read moreDelicious and filling tapas. Well-lit but the acoustics let you hear the conversations of customers in neighbouring tables. The place was unexpectedly fully booked and we didn't make a table reservation. The staff was quick to accommodate our party. We were informed though that we would have to give way to the group that made a reservation later that evening. However, the staff made arrangements with the neighbouring restaurant where we could subsequently transfer to. The other group arrived earlier than expected. They were temporarily seated at a nearby table while the staff unobtrusively informed us of their arrival. As we were leaving the staff were very apologetic for any inconvenience and graciously invited us to visit again soon. Food rating: A Customer...
