Burger Beast - Uptown Mall — Restaurant in Taguig

We were gravely inconvenienced by Burger Beast's website.

The website lets you place orders through it, complete with payment capturing and everything. So the website accepted payment at 12 midnight and confirmed receipt of the order.

It took MORE THAN AN HOUR to "prepare" the order, only for it to be cancelled without notification.

A few things went wrong here:

The website's online ordering sent the order to the UST branch despite it being quite some distance from the address we input. There was a much nearer one to our location.

We don't even know if a UST branch currently exists. It could have been old information fed to Burger Beast's order routing system.

No contact details were provided. I couldn't call the store to ask for an update. Instead, we only have the Burger Beast "contact us" page to rely on. I used it to ask for order updates via email. This inbox is unlikely to be monitored by the "UST branch."

The expected delivery time was 2:20 am. After 2:20 am, the order was cancelled. Had I not checked the website's order tracking manually, I wouldn't know.

They captured my contact number during the online ordering process, why didn't they text me?

During this period of uncertainty -- "is my food coming or no?", I had messaged the social media accounts of Burger Beast, hoping to get the contact number of the supposed "UST branch." And I've probably left some profanity in their email inhox already.

I never got a response or follow-up, even during business hours.

We then placed an order through Foodpanda and that went smoothly. But the horrendous and clunky online ordering experience via the website left an annoying taste in my mouth, regardless of how good their food is.

PLEASE FIX YOUR WEBSITE'S ONLINE ORDERING. Hindi lang sa Grab/Foodpanda kayo nakakatanggap ng online orders.

Visited Burger Beast and tried their Burger Bar Smashed Burger Meal and Truffle Burger Meal (total bill P988).

The 10-minute wait was definitely worth it. Both burgers featured flavorful beef patties. While tasty, the smashed burger's flavor was a hype. The truffle burger, however, was a standout for us! It was wonderfully oozing with light cheddar (?) cheese and a great truffle scent, offering a rich beef flavor beautifully paired with the truffle. The soft bun also complemented the overall taste.

We ordered curly fries but received mostly broken pieces. Despite being crunchy and tasty, the serving felt quite small for the price, especially since it seemed to be weighed. The iced tea was pretty standard, too much ice though.

A minor suggestion: it would be great if they offered gloves for a neater burger-eating experience.

Overall, come for the truffle burger – it’s a winner! Just manage expectations on the...

The taste of the burgers is good, no problem there. Its the portion size however though which will keep me from coming back more often, its almost a slider or snack sized. Its like 2 or 3 bites and its gone. The umami burger is very tasty, although it seems like msg is added to it to give it that 'umami' taste. Its good, but also yet again really really small. The cheeseburger doesnt work for me with fresh cucumbers, much better if its a pickle at least, dont know why fresh cucumbers are in it. The pesto chicken burger is good but such a tiny piece of chicken, really? wow and once again couple bits and its gone. The crispy chicken burger was ok but not great. Crispy fries are good, but guess what? So small portion also. This place could be really great if you fix your portion sizes and change it a decent sized burger instead of a 'snack'...
