Fish & Co Uptown — Restaurant in Taguig

Portion sizes and quality of the food they are serving is not on par with their other locations.

The chips they have brought out some were very very hard and were not edible so had to be spat out. Some were nice and crispy, but you could not tell which it would be so after a few tries the chips had to be avoided.

The portion sizes are much smaller compared to their other location. The fish portion is much smaller compared to their other location. It seems larger in the photo, but it is quite small. They even try to skimp on the garlic that comes with the fish, compared to their other location.

I really enjoy garlic so I asked for extra garlic and only a small amount on top of the small amount was brought out. The tartar sauce and garlic you can tell is pre-portioned and kept in the fridge then brought directly from the fridge to the table, instead of being prepared when the order is placed. This is evident to how the garlic appears dried out and stuck on the plate, very unappealing. I don’t treat myself like this when I eat at home so don’t expect this when I dine in a restaurant. I wouldn’t put sauce or condiments on a plate then stick in a fridge to let it dry out before eating it.

Was excited as I thought the experience would be the same as the other location I frequented but...

Food - Good.

Service - Too much waiting time for the food. Came around just a little before 7pm, placed order around 7:10pm. First food came just before 8pm (see pictires). We have to follow up more than 5 times to multiple servers and staffs. Downside is no one is coming back to update us about our order, not even the 2 managers/supervisors on the counter. They should gave a heads up or set an expecatation when we placed our order that food prep will take around 50 mins to 1hr. We have a kid, and not even the kids meal was given at a reasonable time. Everything we ordered was given more or less around 1hr after we ordered food.

We eat most of the times at restaurants that are under the bistro group, to maximize our bistro card membership, and this is the first time i have experienced this kind of poor service at any of their restaurants.

I am not sure of this is normal with other fish and co branches. But bottomline, proper expectation should be given and updates should be initiated by the servers on a timely manner if it will take some time to serve the food, which...

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while. About 15 minutes after we were seated, no one had come to take our order—it wasn't that busy, I had to go find a waiter myself. Once we finally ordered, the food took ages to arrive. The kitchen was literally right next to us, so we could see our food just sitting on the counter for around 20 minutes, untouched. Meanwhile, the table beside us—who arrived way later—got served first.

Not once did our assigned waiter check in with us. I had to flag down a completely different server just to get someone’s attention. And when the food finally came? It was cold. The server casually asked if I wanted it reheated—honestly, I was baffled. Why are you even serving cold food in the first place?

The shrimp was dry, the portions were ridiculously small (we paid ₱2,000 for a seafood platter meal that was supposed to feed 4 people), and overall, it just wasn’t worth it. Definitely not coming back. Save your money and eat somewhere that actually cares about their service and...
