Had the pleasure of trying this place last May. Went here with friends to have dinner. Manam has several branches around Metro Manila. We went to the one in Uptown Mall on the upper ground floor. It has a pleasant ambience. Well lit and has a welcoming atmosphere.
There were seven of us. We wanted to be seated inside as the weather was hot and humid. There was a waiting list for indoor seating. We didn't know how long the wait was going to be so we decided to settle for an outdoor table under the big tent instead. There was a fountain adjacent to us that shot up water and balls of fire into the air. It looked cool and impressive but it didn't help cool us down from the heat. Fortunately, they had a powerful fan so it wasn't too bad.
They serve unique and appetizing food. Manam's menu is divided into two sections. One section features classic filipino dishes and the other showcases dishes with creative twists. They offer three different sizes for all of their menu items: small, medium, and large.
We got Sinigang na Beef Short Rib with Watermelon, Beef Salpicao and Garlic, House Crispy Sisig, and Gising Gising.
While I typically prefer the traditional sinigang, I enjoyed the SINIGANG NA BEEF SHORT RIB WITH WATERMELON. It was surprisingly delicious. I love that the soup was refillable. Sizzling sisig has always been a go-to option for me, so I was excited to give their version a try. Although the HOUSE CRISPY SISIG was listed under the Classic menu, it somehow lacked the flavors of the traditional sisig that I was anticipating. BEEF SALPICAO AND GARLIC was incredible. Beef was tender. Flavors were perfectly balanced. It was savory, garlic was not overpowering, and it had just the right amount of saltiness. GISING GISING was good; however it fell a little bit short of my expectation. I couldn't help but compare it with the one I've had before. They have a variety of drinks here. From coffee, to wine, to shakes, and floats. I got the MANGO+POMELO+COCONUT CREAM+SAGO Shake. It was refreshing and absolutely delightful.
Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Manam is definitely...
Read moreManam has gained a reputation as a go-to spot for authentic and delectable Filipino cuisine, and I recently had the pleasure of dining at their Uptown location in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for our culinary experience.
The food we ordered undoubtedly lived up to its reputation for being delicious. Each dish was carefully prepared and bursting with flavor; however, I did find the portion sizes to be on the smaller side. While the quality of the food was commendable, I felt that the prices were approximately 30% higher compared to other Filipino restaurants I've visited, which may deter some budget-conscious diners.
Our server, Carlo Sotto, was truly exceptional. He provided attentive and friendly service throughout our meal, ensuring that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. His level of care greatly enhanced our dining experience.
However, one significant drawback of our visit was the absence of a reservation system. I was required to put my name on a waiting list and then find a spot in the waiting area. Unfortunately, this process turned out to be quite tedious, with a wait time extending from 30 to 45 minutes before we were finally seated. While I understand that the popularity of the restaurant speaks to the love customers have for the food, it would be greatly beneficial for them to implement a more efficient system to manage the long lines. It’s quite frustrating to be left waiting for almost an hour, especially when you’re eagerly anticipating a meal.
Overall, while the food and service were notable, the lengthy wait time detracted from an otherwise enjoyable...

If you’re craving Filipino comfort food done right—with a few modern kicks—Manam never disappoints.
Crispy Sisig Hands down, one of the crispiest sisigs out there. Every bite is packed with flavor. There’s a subtle sweetness which gives it a unique twist, though we wish it had a bit more spice to balance things out.
Crispy Pata Crispy outside, tender and moist inside. The garlic bits and dipping sauce elevate the whole experience. It’s a real showstopper on the table!
Sinigang sa Sampaloc na Baboy Tamang asim! The broth is delightfully sour and comforting. Perfectly cooked veggies and the pork was soft and fall-off-the-bone tender.
Ube + Sago Drink A surprise favorite! Creamy, generous on the ube, and not overly sweet. The sago was cooked just right. Easily one of the best ube drinks we’ve tried—tiktok-worthy!
Caramelized Chicken Wings in Patis (Small Size) Sweet and savory perfection—when it hits right. This dish is addicting, but sadly, the caramelization wasn’t consistent. Some pieces missed that golden coating. Also, we ordered a medium but were served a small—just a slight hiccup in an otherwise smooth service.
Garlic Rice Fluffy, garlicky, and the perfect partner to every dish on the table.
Service Fast and attentive. Food came out hot and quickly. Just double-check your order—our wings came in the wrong size, but the staff was quick to clarify.
Overall: A reliable go-to for Filipino food cravings. Flavorful, familiar, and satisfying. Just a few tweaks and it would’ve been a...
