Do not eat at the Texas Roadhouse in Uptown Mall.
I visited on June 14, 2025, at 5:30 PM and requested a booth. The hostess seated me at a dirty table with greasy seats. The peanut bucket was full of old shells and had visible ketchup stains—clearly left over from the previous guests.
Things only got worse from there. I was served bloody, raw chicken wings—not once, but twice—even after sending the first batch back. It was as if they were trying to cook the chicken from frozen.
I also ordered a bacon burger and fries, but the burger was literally dripping blood, and the fries tasted stale—like they had been sitting out all day.
When I asked to speak to the manager, he came to the table and I explained that the chicken was raw and unsafe to eat. His rude response was simply, “I know.” He said he would have the kitchen remake the wings. When the second plate arrived, it looked okay on the outside but was even more bloody and cold inside.
As a Texan living in BGC, I know the quality that Texas Roadhouse is supposed to deliver. This location does not reflect that standard. The menus were filthy, and I even saw a waitress lazily wipe a table using a visibly dirty cloth.
I understand working in a restaurant is tough, but when customers are paying ₱2,000–₱3,000, they expect clean tables, decent service, and most importantly—safe, properly cooked food.
For comparison, I’ve eaten at the Texas Roadhouse in High Street, which has far better food and service. Sadly, this experience left me sick all morning with stomach cramps.

Read moreAlthough we did enjoy our dining experience because they were very welcoming of our 2 pet dogs, the atmosphere of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired.
We were seated at the very last seat, beside the restroom. It was very hot and uncomfortable, there wasn't a ceiling fan and the AC barely reached us. We had to request to move to a different seat (in the same area) but it was a very small improvement. The tables were uncomfortable and kept moving when our legs touched it (it was those tables that can be dissaembled). A couple of groups had to leave because of how hot the area was but they kept on sitting people there.
Food was OK. The steak was very nice but the sides not so much. Mash was dry, as well as the coleslaw. The seafood platter was very unappetizing - shrimp was cold, chips were stale and the fried fish fillet was all breading. It wasn't worth it for the steep price of 1,895. Everything else we orderd we enjoyed. Especially the bottom less iced tea - it was perfect for the warm area they seated us.
Service was excellent though. Staff was very friendly including kuya guard. I forgot the name of the staff who waited us but she was awesome as well - she endorsed us to another waitress before she left for the night. Eventhough we were at the far back seats, the staff still checked in on us.
Overall, I just hope some of these are looked at. For the pricepoint of the food here, I was expecting a bit more - a lot more. We will dine here again if given the chance. I hope our experience next time will be...

Went in the evening on valentines day with my wife. It was busy, and we were prepared to wait for our food.
Ordered 2 strawberry margaritas to start while we looked at the menu. Took 30 minutes to arrive.
Put in our dinner order. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye(medium rare) with a salad and baked potato. My wife ordered the 10 oz ribeye (medium well) with corn and mashed potato.
Our order took nearly an hour to arrive. But given that the restaurant was at capacity, we were willing to forgive this. When the steaks arrived, we were asked to cut into them to make sure they were done to our liking(Do your line cooks not know how to cook a steak to order?). My steak was ordered medium rare, but was delivered cool and raw. My wife's steak was ordered medium -well, but was delivered medium rare.
I sent mine back, and 30 minutes later I was delivered the same steak, still cool and raw but on a separte plate. At this point I asked both the waitress and the manager how this even happens, for which I got no explaination. I ended up eating the raw steak, because at that point, I was hungry and didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for them to make a new one.
My steak was removed from the bill. Paid and left. Got severly ill almost immedately after consuming the rare steak. This place is to be avoided at all costs, and is nothing like the Texas roadhouse back...
