Healthy and hygiene standards are very poor!!!!!
We had a terrible experience while dining here last night. I choose this since we don’t have this in Dubai and it’s pretty empty. The mushroom soup and pineapple shake were good. However, when they served the Pasta - IT HAS A LIVE INSECT WALKING ON TOP OF THE BACON STRIPS. Such a bad sight to behold. We called in the team for them to see it themselves and they quickly replace the pasta. They showed 2 plates - the new one and the old plate order to confirm they changed it.
While we are having the Bruschetta, WE SAW ANOTHER LIVE INSECT POPPING IN AROUND THE PLATE, we got flustered and did not finish the entire serving. Since then we got conscious of the healthy and hygiene standards of the resto and have seen relatively few flies around our little corner at the middle of the resto.
When we got the bill, we explained the fiasco to the manager and she was apologetic in her own terms. However, despite all these - they have not graciously extended any service recovery by any inconvenience discount or any treatment of any kind. Not that we demand something for free but these unlikely hygiene experiences should be compensated by a service recovery standard - be it a free dessert, a discounted bill, or at least a voucher so we can guarantee a comeback to compromise the experience.
Anyhow, not recommended for now - anyways I’m just here in PH for a vacation. But for sure this promising restaurant will improve knowing the F&B standards in the PH....
Read moreWhat went well:
-The receptionists are very attentive. They’re faster than the other servers in terms of addressing requests.
Their energy is good and it’s always a pleasure to be welcomed with good energy.
-The place is instagram worthy. If you pay attention to the details like the colors, plates, the cafe interior. It’s pretty good and an enticing hang-out.
-The cafe is pet friendly
-They have a good selection of food and drinks
What needs to be improved:
-I tried some fried corn and crab stuff (I didn’t even remember the name).
And the first thing that I looked for, is the crab meat. I guess it wasn’t there hehe But it was fried well.
-I asked for warm water and took 2 follow-ups to get one
-I tried their Thai milk tea and it’s not bad, but my immediate response is comparing it with one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the whole of Metro Manila.
The only advantage is it’s smooth.
-The price of each order starts around 350++ for starters and 500++ for main courses.
Portion is good for around 2 people per dish but tbh with you, it’s still pricey.
If you’re ready to explore, but on a budget—-then best to research on the menu and focus on what you want to try.
Unfortunately it did not work for me. But I appreciate the staff a lot for being nice to...
Read moreI finally was able to try this restaurant originally from Thailand. The food was overall delicious but could use a few minor improvements. Fair warning, the food is also pricey. These dishes I ordered was around 3,300 pesos.
Chicken Pandan 4.5/5 - tender sweet-savory chicken pieces (about the size of nugget). Some pieces had too much burnt ends. After removing these parts, my kid loved eating this!
Super Beef Love Hotpot - 5/5 Great value for money. The soup was filled with tender chunks of beef, beef balls, water spinach and fried tofu. Soup reminded me of pho but with heavier cilantro-beef flavors. Served with vermicelli noodles and white rice.
Grilled Salmon with Chili Paste Fried Rice - 3.5/5 you can’t really go wrong with a huge slab of salmon, but I wish they served it skin side down. I felt the salmon was overcooked; it was just too firm inside-out. The salmon was served with a side of pickled onions, mangos and chili peppers. You also get fish sauce on the side (which should be improved on)
I wish the thai sauce they served had sugar in it to balance the strong fish sauce.
The Chili Paste Fried rice was yummy and it definitely had some heat.
Overall, the food was great, but expect to splurge...
