Always one of the best choices of ramen shop here in Manila. The shop is set almost like a typical Japanese restaurant, with favorite Japanese music being played the customers eat.
What I love in the ramen is its great soup, fresh vegetables, specially boiled egg, and excellent meat. They have different flavors and each gives a Japanese ramen a tiny hint of unique Filipino taste to it, well seasoned. The noodles are okay. I can't say they're freshly made of the wheat they're showed to be made. I mean, they're udon noodles, which is good.
The first time I came here, they almost forgot to put my much desired egg on my bowl. If I hadn't noticed, they wouldn't put it. The second time, it seems like they're really not putting it, which is totally unfair. I'm quite patient about it and it felt like it was personal. Why do that? I love the egg.
The next visits, they're ok. Everything is great. I even brought my sister and my nephew. I still haven't tried their soba noodles yet and I'm dying to know how they make their soba. They have udon and soba noodles for ramen. Some shops make mami noodles for ramen, which is just sad. That's why I love the ramen here.
Their dishes are also great like their curry. I also love their ice cream, the coffee and the macha, very much. I also love the ice tea they serve, which is not the common ice tea served in fast food restaurants, but still being sold in the Philippines. Overall, the service is good, the food is great, and the...
Read moreHonest review, food was not that bad but I can't say it was good neither. The worst part was how the utensils and food were served. The spoon/fork and chopsticks were just placed on the table as if it was a garbage and the food, my god! It was not even served on a tray, the waitress did it individually, carrying the bowl with their bare hands as if you are just eating on a sidewalk. When it comes to the food, the soup was cold as was the rice. The taste was nothing special. Unsatisfied customer here. I left a note to Kuya cashier and told him to read my feedback and pass it on to the management, hopefully he did. This is not to put the store or branch at the spotlight but feedback was given to help them improve their services...
Read moreAt first I donât understand why the soba was hot, but now I get that it is because its a kake soba. The dashi taste on the soba soup compliments the dry ebi tempura quite well, for me. I just hope that they would serve the tempura separately and not soaked in the soup so that I donât have to eat all the batter from the ebi or maybe not too thick batter on the ebi because it goes well with the soba.
As for the âparfaitâ that I do not know how to pronounce, it is a little overwhelming but very very tasteful green tea flavor. Well-textured combination for every bite.
Good customer service with quiet and clean...
