When I first visited this cafĂ© back in August 2021, I had a slightly humorous encounter. The barista kindly asked if I needed a carry-out tray, but I declined, thinking it was okay to eat outside. As I was about to take my first bite, a marshal quickly informed me, "Sir, excuse me po. Bawal pa po mag dine-in." It was a bit amusingâhe didnât even let me take a bite! đ I ended up going back inside to ask for a to-go tray.
Fast forward to 2022, and my feelings about this cafĂ© have changed significantly. I used to be a regular, visiting 3â4 times a week because of its convenient location. Initially, the service was good, and the staff seemed welcoming. However, over time, I noticed a shift. The baristas now often appear unhappy, and I feel like Iâm inconveniencing them when I ask for simple things like a glass of water, extra tissue, or a tray. These are small requests, but they seem to disrupt their flow since they often have to go to the backroom to get them.
Sadly, I no longer buy coffee here because the atmosphere has become unwelcoming. As a regular customer, itâs disappointing to feel like your presence is not appreciated. This place had potential, but the change in service quality has been disheartening.

When I saw one employee leave the store, because her shift was over, the security guard at the door (in front of every packed audience of customers), proceeded to interrogate her and inspect her bag and other belongings she had as if she stole an item or two. It was a sight to behold as something like this would not be tolerated in the USA or the West. It's abuse at the highest level and shows company work culture that they do not trust their own employees.
Small and crowded. This Rustan owned Starbucks isn't the Starbucks we all know in the US. It does try to mimick it closely.
Be prepared to get a book of paper receipts. It's a very wasteful system and contributes to the unending lines unnecessarily.

Updated review 2022: I was a regular here since it opened last year because of the proximity. Service was good those few months. Now, barista's look unhappy serving you. Probably not happy because I ask for things, glass of water, extra tissue and tray that they have to get at the backroom everytime and I dine 3-4 times a week.
