Ordered eggs Benedict. They arrived after about 23 minutes. Seemed a little slow but this is Manila. Took a bite. Stone cold. Absolute ambient room temperature. They never got any cooler because they were already as cold as they could get. I was the only customer. There were plenty of staffers to bring the food out. It probably cooked in 5-7 minutes, then they just looked at it for 15 more minutes. I'd love to see what their food tastes like hot. Is it worth another gamble? Not sure. Also, the water was 3/4 full. I think water in the Phil is too precious to fill the glasses up. No ice. Same temp as the food. Strong taste of either detergent or bleach. One sip was too much. Price was OK for High Street. The food might be good. How would I know? Want to try again but scared.
UPDATE:
I did go back again. Ordered eggs Benedict. Service was really fast. But again, food was absolutely ambientvtemp. Not even slightly warm. Perfectly ambient. Great food! But i like most meals to be at least slightly warm. I can't figure this out. Maybe it comes off the stove and then is set in front of a powerful AC for three minutes? It makes no sense. I don't know how to get warm food here. Same as last time, 2 stars. What a bizarre thing. I've never seen this before. How can it go from grill or stove temp to ambient in five minutes? The pla e is freezing cold, yes, but even that doesn't account for how quickly their meals get cold. Bizarre!
UPDATE Sept 22, 2024, ordered eggs benedict again (yes, I'm stupid). Excellent flavor. Cold again. I did notice that every surface around the counter is ICY COLD, almost to the point you're afraid your fingers will stick to them like ice cubes. I have no idea why these surfaces are so incredibly cold, but I suspect that's there all the cold food is coming from. Why can't they figure this out? Well, it's the Phil. I also ordered the hot lava cake thing and they brought something completely different. I had them replace it with what I ordered and they did, but it had been microwaved to annihilation. There was no soft chocolate left in it because it had been microwaved to crystal form. The cake part was hard and crunchy. It was inedible. Time to give up on these folks. I've given them too many chances. Little shops and cafes wonder why they get fewer and fewer customers and then they eventually fail. This is why.
UPDATE OCT 11 2024
I was talking to a guard friend in front of this and we decided we were both thirsty. I went in and at the counter I asked for three bottles of iced tea, and I don't care what flavors. The man said, three bottles of tea? I said yes. He said three tea? I said yes please. He said three iced teas and you don't care what flavor? I said yes, three bottles of tea, and I was pointing at them with my finger about 18 inches from a stack of iced tea bottles on the shelf behind the counter. I pointed directly to them each time he asked me if I wantedn3. Each time I said yes, three, and I pointed to them. He turned and looked at them each time. Finally I paid and took my number to the table. A few minutes later he arrived with three cups of steaming hot tea. I asked him where were the bottles off iced tea? He said iced tea, we don't have iced tea. I said I pointed at the stack of them not 10 inches from you each time you asked me to confirm. He then said, iced tea? Bottles of iced tea? I said yes, that is what I ordered. Three bottles of iced tea. May I have three bottles of iced tea please, and I don't care about the flavors. Lemon, raspberry, I don't care because they are all good. He said nothing but walked away. Later a woman came out with one bottle of iced tea. I asked her where the other two were. She said, iced tea? You want three? By this time,I was damned frustrated and it was difficult to be polite. I said YES. THREE BOTTLES OF ICED TEA. SHE WENT AWAY AND CAME BACK WITH TWO.MORE AND SMACKED THEM DOWN ON THE TABLE. ORDER COMPLETE NOW SIR? yes, thank you. Now this is a problem all theough se Asia but it's a bigger problem in the Phil than in any other country....

They also serve healthy and delicious meals that make it a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or even dessert! and let me tell you, theyâre a Filipino gem!
for breakfast, we ordered a little bit of everything to make sure everyone in the family is satisfied. I went for the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte- creamy and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of matcha and a little sweet for me. My daughter got the Tropical Sunset Smoothieâ with chunk apples, super refreshing and fruity, just what you need on a chill day off. And for my husband, a Roast Hazelnut Latte âitâs rich, smooth, and has that perfect hint of nuttiness.
For our main, we couldnât resist the American Breakfast Sampler. Itâs got everythingâa hearty platter of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and more. Seriously, this is comfort food at its best! We also got the Creamy Mushroom Carbonara* which was rich and flavorful, loaded with mushrooms, and absolutely satisfying.
We had to try their sandwiches and pastries too! The Grilled Chicken Pesto Focaccia was a hitâ fresh, light, and healthy. Then thereâs the Tuna Pie and Spicy Cheese Pieâperfectly baked, crunchy on the outside, and bursting with flavor on the inside.
And of course, no meal is complete without dessert! We indulged in their newly released Carrot Cakeâmoist, perfectly spiced, and topped with that classic cream cheese frosting. We also tried the Biscoff Cheesecake, which was super creamy and had that rich, buttery Biscoff flavor. This one, is a game changer.
Honestly, this breakfast at Figaro Coffee was just what we needed. High-quality food, great coffee, and a cozy atmosphereâFigaro really is a cafĂ© above the rest. Oh, and theyâve just launched new cakes and drinks, so itâs definitely worth checking out!

Read moreChecked out their branch in High street a few weeks ago and tried the following:
ăCrispy Liempo with Laing | I enjoyed the contrast of textures/flavours from the crispy pork belly and taro leaves cooked in coconut milk (Laing). It was served with a side salad and garlic rice, such a hearty meal.
ăGrilled Chicken Pesto Focaccia + Asian Chicken Salad | The focaccia sandwich had grilled chicken fillet with bell peppers, pesto spread and grated cheese. The chicken salad was loaded with a medley of greens, tomatoes, grilled chicken, sesame seeds, walnuts and a sweet/tangy vinaigrette.
ăChicken Waldorf + Arrabiata | The sandwich had diced chicken on it plus fresh greens and apple compote enclosed in a batard bread which complimented the pasta's sweet/savoury tomato sauce topped with grated parmesan.
ăLittle Oscar (Sans Rival), Pudding with vanilla sauce, Tiramisu, Ensaymada | Rich and decadent treats, my faves would be the Sans rival and Pudding.
ăChoco Chips Java Frappe, Layered Matcha + Espresso and Iced Spanish Latte | They have a great selection of caffeinated drinks and the intensity of its brewed coffee is perfect for me.
ăSmoothies | Tropical Sunset (Banana, apple, orange + pineapple jam) and Beachside Calm (Celery, apple, pineapple, mint + cucumber). Energy boosting drinks which we all need especially in Manila's scorching heat.
This café is second to none as it serves freshly brewed coffee and premium quality food/drinks - from signature Filipino dishes to pastas, sandwiches, pastries...
