Yesterday, my partner and I grabbed take-out from this place that's apparently a hit, but honestly, I think those 5-star reviews are bogus. The chicken we got, a half-chicken and chicken escalopes, was bland as can be. It was so dry and tasteless, except for a bit of sauce slapped on the skin.

To make matters worse, they made us choose just two sides when usually you can get all three (salad, fries/potatoes, or rice) – even on UberEats. I don't get why they had to be so strict about it. Anyway, we ended up with a sad excuse for a salad and some soggy fries that was half-cooked (No crunch, just soft). I picked potatoes and rice because salad wasn't an option with their silly rule, but even the rice was underdone.

The only decent thing was their oven potatoes, but that's not enough to save this joint. I've had better meals at other Piri Piri spots, but this one on Mont-Royal is a letdown.
