Yet again - huge disappointment. Below I uploaded a picture of the festival burger posted on the restaurant’s account vs what we actually got. Let’s start from the bun, for the place that makes it’s own bread it was a disgrace, didn’t even taste homemade, was simply awful. Burger was supposed to be covered in cheese, instead it was literally sprinkled with something that was supposed to imitate the cheeses. Came with literally 10 fries. Inside - only meat and salad could be found, even that in the description more things were listed. Also the food was a bit cold, you could tell that it has been ready for some time and then delivered cold. Waiters informed us that it’s impossible to sit inside, therefore only a few tables outside were available, which meant that there weren’t that many guests at the restaurant. Even though we have waited for an hour to get the burger and we weren’t informed about this in advance. Not many guests, many waiters but they were nowhere to be seen, all the guests have to wait a lot to get the menu, to get their drinks and food and then to pay. Plus waiters have very little knowledge about what’s in the menu, asked them about different types of beer which they have available, they described Raciborskie Zielone as an apple beer?¿ which of course it isn’t. To conclude, this place has such a huge potential, their positions on the menu are interesting, however the outcome is carried out...
Read moreWe were quite dissapointed wth overall experience:
extremely long waiting time for a breakfast dish (with no information that it will take so long) your coffee is already cold when the breakfast arrives (unless you've drunk it already) you get your food while your friend is waiting and waiting the service is rather unprofessional
We recommend you to look for another breakfast spot.
Also the croissant (baked by them) was very dry and tasteless. Though I must admit the filling (orange jam) was very good and really in abundance.
In more details: The service didn't inform us that some breakfast menu items are unavailable. When we wanted to order, we need to choose one more time. Finally we decided for one breakfast dish and one croissant. Plus two cappucino. After a while we got everything except the breakfast dish. We thought it will arrive soon, but we were wrong. The service didn't inform us that waiting time is so long. So we were waiting, nibbling the croissant and sipping the coffee. When we nearly finished the coffee (that already gone cold), we decided it is enough and we asked for the bill. Service just said ok.
Saddly looking around, we found out that most people got their coffee first and then much, much later their breakfast, so it is probably a common...
Read moreWith their reputation for breads, it is no surprise to find the breakfast omelette (with prosciutto, tomato and pesto) at Breadnia nestled within a large fresh croissant. With lots of street tables and a large rambling interior, this bistro/bar can handle the crowds and is understandably popular. The wait staff were efficient and multilingual - yes, English is spoken here if you need it. Fitting its baking point-of-difference, every cup of coffee comes with a small freshly-baked cookie or wafer. The breakfast menu is vast, with more than a dozen options. The street tables have umbrellas if you need the shade and the Bistro faces West (it's on the East side of Piotrkowska), so in Summer, early morning (it's one of the few places open by 9 am) you have natural shade and as the sun comes round you can enjoy its warm while sipping great coffee. Don't neglect to look up at the ornate and eclectic Secessionist building itself, which has been beautifully renovated, and houses the Samorządowe Kolegium Odwoławcze w Łodzi (Local Government Appeal...
